"Sad this place shut down. A bit late posting the review but wanted to share it anyway! Came by for a post Christmas dinner with my family. My parents let me choose the spot and since my mom basically only eats dumplings and my dad mostly just eats beef noodle soups, my options are limited. Last time we checked out Luscious Dumplings and my parents admitted it was authentic and decent but weren't impressed overall mainly due to the price. This time we checked out Mukden Dumplings and since they almost always order the same thing, they were quick to notice the similarities of the two spots. The two are sister restaurants and while I prefer the dumplings here more by a touch, I think I prefer the side dishes from Luscious Dumplings a bit more. Our go to order always include seaweed salad, a stewed pork knuckles, pan fried pork dumplings, pan fried chive pockets, and boiled dumplings. Like I said, the dumplings here are solid but I would pass on the chive pockets. The sides are good but I liked the sister location's a bit better. Overall, I enjoyed the meal. The price of the food wasn't enough to impress my parents though. They enjoyed the meal but both felt you could find equally good places for a cheaper price. While I do agree with that, those cheaper priced places are usually a bit less approachable if you don't/are embarrassed to speak the language or are looking for a generally less stressful dining environment. I probably won't bring my parents here again but I'll stop by with some friends."
