"If possible, I would rate Roper's 3.5 stars. Based on several visits. On our latest visit. We started with my wife's favorite appetizer, Buffalo Shrimp. Its amazing, a must try! I had the House Salad. With the house dressing a creamy balsamic. My wife had a Caesar Salad. Both were generously sized salads and very good. My wife ordered the Mushrooms Nantua, the flavor of the sherry wine dominated over all other flavors. Perhaps they added too much. Other than that it was good. It was prepared well. I would give it a second chance. I ordered the St. Charles Pasta. Which I have had before and it is fantastic! If you like Cajun pasta, I highly recommend St. Charles pasta! Service at Ropers. Can be hit or miss. And I would not say that we've ever had extremely poor service. And I think what affects the service. Is the size of the place and at times crowds. They have a four season patio, that allows smoking. And a separate indoor dining room/bar. The patio seems to draw the bigger crowd. Which takes away from the service, for those that choose the indoor dining room. Roper's is unique, that is meant as a compliment. Some of the menu items are not what you would expect to find in a sports bar type atmosphere. But, in a nicer restaurant. That includes their buffalo shrimp appetizer, and the Saint Charles tortellini pasta."
