"So I heard about this place and finally checked it. It is a hole in the wall on need of heavy rebuild BUT the staff was polite, service fast and the food was amazing and decently expensive. Much better than cracker barrel, IHOP and waffle house. You have a large menu for breakfast for these 5 stars. I would say if your hunger for breakfast is this the best place to go... the coffee is not terrible, but needs work Two people $27 well worth it"

"This is my 3rd time coming to this restaurant, it is a gem in Homestead, nicely decorated, welcoming, feels like home kind of place to me, clean, friendly servers, fast service, food is delicious. This time the owner came to our table greet us with a nice smile and asked us how's everything? That was a nice touch. I definitely recommend this place for you and your family."

"My friend of work recommended this place. All it is delicious, I ordered the steak rice the steak is very juicy with taste. I made everyone on the table trying to love it the ladies! The dessert was roasted vanilla ice cream with charges of pickled topping. You must try this creamy sweet treat! Customer service is excellent, meals came within 10 minutes. We'll be back soon! Thanks for the amazing food wonderful customer service!"

"Let's be honest, nobody expects vegan options in Homestead. This place has it not only, but they are on the menu! Our server was a knowledgeable young man who was knowledgeable and attentive. Our daughter wanted Enchiladas and he could convince them that vegan enchiladas were not worth it and she should get the tacos. The vegetable burrito of the woman was good, she said she would have liked the vegetables to have spiced a little more like the meat, that is the only thing not great. I have a chicken Burrito, wet, with the Rincon sauce. It was hotter than I expected, but still very good and fill. Would recommend this place to everyone."

"Food 4 5 Service 4 Ambiance 4 5 Value 5 I came here on the recommendation of a friend. I love Mexican food and I’m always looking for a good authentic restaurant to visit. The food was good, but not the best I’ve ever had. I appreciate that it is definitely authentic. So I give it 4 5 stars. The service was pretty good. The restaurant is pretty clean, and nicely decorated. It’s an older building kind of a dive. The prices are very reasonable! I ordered the enchiladas verde (chicken). My daughter ordered the chicken fajitas, and my other daughter ordered the shrimp tacos. They each got a bottle of soda, and we split some chips and guacamole. Our bill was 65 for everything. Not bad at all. Plus we have a lot of leftovers. The guacamole was a decent size and we had leftover. My daughter who ordered the shrimp tacos was the only one who finished all of her food. Although, she didn’t eat any of the rice or refried beans that it came with. The rice was very tasty. The beans were a little bland. Everything was fresh and hot. We will definitely be back again. I’d like to try more seafood next time."

"We stopped by Shiver's BBQ for lunch and ordered sandwiches (powder, brisket and a Hickory BBQ hamburger). All were delicious, especially the pulled pig. It's excellent! There was also a very good selection of pages, and each side was comfort food best. We enjoyed BBQ beans, hush puppies, cheesy hashbrown casserole, cornbread souffle', and jalapeno cheese grottes. Each side tasted homemade and full of taste. Shiver is not a beautiful place. Guests are placed on long picnic style tables with rolls of paper towels and grill sauce. So, leave your chic clothes at home and simply enjoy Shiver's for what it is: great food in a very casual, comfortable environment. Our server was very friendly and attentive and the prices were appropriate for the quality and quantity of food. We like lunch here!"

"I've eaten here for over 6 years... the food is PHENOMENAL the burgers are unique... if you say there's nothing on the menu for you then You either read the menu incorrectly, way too fast or not at all! EVERYTHING is always fresh and to order! If they do not eat food themselves, they will not serve you! and have I mentioned his little business?! they survived the pandemic made it possible to continue eating whether the delivery from or outside, but the accommodations were there!!! the owners are amazing!!!! If you choose the next trip, it is! There is a reason why they have survived a pandemic for about 11 years, which sooo many companies have closed BIG and SMALL and have won awards! There is no food for the weak mind... I said what I said 100/100 stars!!!!"

"5 stars should be for 'Loved It'. What is the option if a place is beyond this description? Every drink was made perfection, and you could say that they use fresh fruits. The food was unbelievable, and it is really an upscale experience without the elevated prices. The waitress was attentive, and our waters were never less than 1/4 full. Atmosphere was comfortable, lighting was comfortable, place was clean. I definitely come back."

"Visit Michigan we decided to try them and we were so glad we made it! The Philly Cheese Steak Subs were delicious! The bread was fresh and soft. Lots of meat and good cheese. They came with an LOT delicious, crispy, fries and a delicious naughty diving sauce. The manager was so friendly and gave us some good tips where to go in the Everglades. If I had lived here, we would often go. Oh, they were so good. The cheapest (but good quality and filling) food we had the whole trip!"

"????????2nd update: Tried something different this time. Chile Verde! Holy heck was it great! So great I tried to copycat the recipe. I used fresh tomatillos but it just wasn?t as good as El Campesinos.????UPDATE: Back again today. I had the Pollo Mexicano again. I could not help myself!????This Restaurant is easily missed due to it being in kind of a ?cut?. Ive never heard of it before until my daughter suggested it. I know its a chain but it is another good one. The tall metal sculptures that greet you outside starts the fun! ???????? As soon as I walked in I loved it it. Its dark and cozy with a great Mexican vibe. We had the best waiter who was attentive without overdoing it. I wish I could remember his name. (Visited August 4th 2021 around 6:00 pm) I had a traditional Margarita that was perfectly mixed and delicious. Yay #Tequila! We both ordered the Pollo Mexicano and man was it delicious! The chicken was tender and moist. Its a great combination of flavors. Chorizo, jalapeño and nacho cheese that you put in warm soft tortillas topped with lettuce,tomato, and guacamole???????????? The tortillas were so good without that horrible flavor that store bought ones have. Their refried beans were also very tasty. I completely enjoyed my dining experience here and I will be back. Don?t pass this one by!"

"we went to breakfast and were happy surprised! we had cuban sandwich, Argentinian chicks empanada, pastelito de guayaba (guava pastries) and 2 coladas (cuba coffee). the food was delicious and the server was very attentive. No, we don't have all our foods we wounded to go with our sandwich. it is a small place and if you are in the area, try it out! You are 10 minutes or less of Robert is here that you can go for real fruit milk shakes that are world famous!"

"On Thursday, June 8, 2023, I attended a local concert at Voodoo Brewing in Homestead, PA. The performance space was very small and uncomfortably loud for anyone's ears. However, what truly shocked me was the bill when I went to pay! I ordered three draft beers, their version of a West Coast IPA, served in a plastic cup that wasn't even filled to the top. The total for these three mediocre drinks came to $32.79 – not including tip! When the bartender handed me my check, I couldn't believe it and said, "But I only had three cups of beer?!?" She shot me a dirty look and said, "That's average for a brewpub." I can assure you, I will never pay that much for average beer served in a plastic cup again."

"When we come to Homestead we always stop by Marios. Great Cuban food. We always love their Shrimp Enchiladas with their specials sauce. Excellent. The yucca is very good also and their black beans. Another favorite of mine is their plantains. Really good."

"The restaurant is clean enough. I ordered a cafe con leche which was very good. Pretty similar to what you would get in Mexico it brought good memories! The gorditas con frijoles y queso were too thick for my liking and had very little filling so the masa overpowered the other flavors. In Mexico gorditas are usually smaller and are very well packed with the filling and the masa (dough) is soft, this masa was a bit too hard for my taste. The chilaquiles were good. The salsa was medium spicy and had good taste. Nothing extraordinary but also not bad. The tacos were not good at all. The meat was greasy and tasted old, we didn?t eat them.However, the side of beans was really good. They have a salsa bar and I had their red salsa which was full of flavor and very spicy which I look forward at a Mexican place. Overall this place is ok but would not be my first option if visiting the area. They had a sign at the door they are looking for a cook so that is perhaps what happened because I saw so many good reviews about the place but unfortunately it wasn?t my experience. The waitress was really nice and the food came out quickly."
