"We sat 20 mins before being served. Finally one of the waitors came over and asked if we had been helped. We were not in his area but I guess saw us there with no drinks or water. Surprisingly, the manager walked by a couple times, looked at us, saw only our menus but never stopped to ask if we were helped yet. We have eaten here before, last time service was great but it now seems it is not consistent. Food is always good there, I guess it's a roll of the dice for service."

"I got the taco, burrito and chile relleno. Taco was good. Burrito was good. However, the chile relleno was over cooked? The crust was thick and hard. The pepper it's self was dark green and shriveled. I'm assuming over cooked. I'd rather be under cooked at that point. Service was great. Other dish was chicken chimy. Had flavor and not dry. Salsa was probably in my top favorite! Mix a little of the hot and it's perfect! I'll try this place again. I accidentally gave a big tip But that's ok. He took care of us perfectly.."

"I visited V’s Sunday for a birthday brunch from noon until 2pm and about 6;30 that evening I started feeling really bad. My throat was killing me, couldn’t swallow and my face was aching I went to the doctor and they said I had strep throat. I ask if you could get strep from food and she said yes if the food was contaminated. I won’t be visiting V’s again or eating anyone’s buffet."

"My wife I were so taken by the wonderful food, service, black bear decorative atmosphere, and the clientele that we returned a second time in the same week.Our second visit was over the Labor Day weekend and gradually as we ordered and began eating, the restaurant became filled nearly to capacity. The layout and diversity of numbers of chairs at the different sized tables is superb. We have seen living bears in the Rockies in Colorado so having the photos in the foyer of Cubs and Moms is certainly added fun.Thank you for building and operating in the Independence Missouri area! My brother's wife, a retired elementary educator, always had a unit on bears throughout her 36 years of teaching. They have eaten at the Olathe Kansas restaurant and love it, too. ?"

"Our first time and definitely not my last in this very nice restaurant. This was a celebration of the way and we decided to visit here for the first time. We were not disappointed at all and really enjoy fantastic food and great customer service. All we chose for our meals was really cooking and served by a really nice staff. You have a Ceasars salad with anchovies, now this is rare, but its as it may be."

"Never had a decent meal here. I've been disappointed both times. I and understand an off night, but this was two bad experiences that were a year apart. The service is fine. The food is awful, boarding on disgusting. Salvatore's makes Olive Garden look like a Michelin star Italian restaurant. The calamari is breaded thicker than a chicken-fried steak, and over cooked until it is like eating mini rubber tires. The red pasta sauce has so much sugar in it that it belongs in a bakery. I can't even describe the chicken parm."

"I have to start ophilia on a somewhat regular basis. I know the people who work there, and it is obvious that they all know their masters. eating is always great, the drinks are perfect, there is always good talk, and cindy mcclain becomes more and more lovable each year. I love the place."

"My wife and I were looking for something new and decided to take a quick trip over to Independence to give Silk Thai Cuisine a try. We both looked over the menu prior to going and noted several dishes that interested us.I landed on the Crispy Duck Curry. The flavor was amazing with the right amount of heat from the spice. The duck was tender with crispy skin. The portion size was great with a perfect ratio of meat to veggies.My wife had the Cashew Nuts with chicken which she really enjoyed. Again, the portions were generous.We look forward to going back and trying some other dishes soon. Sorry, forgot to get pictures as each of our meals looked delicious and we couldn't wait to dive in."

"two in our party of three ordered from the brunch menu. the articles were crorque monsieur and oeufs al cocotte. each plate seemed to consist mostly of brot. we will not try again. the other person with us got the pesto chicken flatbread and a home salad. she said it was very good. we have eaten the flatbreads at earlier and found them excellent. also the side caesar or the house salads are great. we also enjoyed the brote served the table. cafe verona is one of our favorite spots. we were just disappointed by the brunch dishes we tried."

"Wow, I wish I would have tried this place a long time ago!! We had a table of 5 adults and one child, so we did wait about 15 minutes before we could be seated (booths and tables both available, but smaller parties are able to get seated a little quicker. The wait was totally worth it! Tables were presented very clean and classy. Food was AMAZING! I ordered a side of fried rice and the beef pho. Also shared 2 plates of crab rangoon, which were so creamy and delicious! Good prices and great portions. Will definitely be back!"

"Fast and efficient ride thru experience. Ordered a few dry 4 ways that were made right, and frits and a cone. Friendly staff and very fast. Skyline is always delicious! Update: Server was ready to go to do closing duties and that was the main focus of the night. He forgot our drinks 10-15 minutes until the food was ready, and I asked if he was thinking when we get our drinks. He was very apologetic what I liked, but always forgot everything we wanted. What the foods, they need practice cutting onions, as I got several parts of the skin and roots that I could not chew. The cheese was not well shredded as usual, but I hope that was just a strange experience because I love Skyline.."

"This spot is a hidden gem! If you haven't gone, you are missing out. Both inside and outside are great seating locations. Definitely try their mushroom cheesecake. It is to die for. I haven't disliked anything here. Once you are done, check out the shop above the restaurant. Lots of fun and unique items."

"Welcome – pink house café This is once I am glad that I am with the white rabbit. I found myself in independence for work and decided to take a walk through the city. After I paid my respect to a city hero and read the history of cities, I had worked up a bit of hunger and thought I had seen a sandwich board for something to eat a few blocks back. Just on the street a few blocks was Pink House Café. Here's what I found inside. It was like a step of 2022 and my grandmother's house. The art, wallpapers and boards, the furniture and tablecloths all created the setting for what should be a wonderful culinary experience. Shortly after greeting, from the owner I think and showed to my table I had a cup of coffee and had ordered a Crab meat veggie stirrer. The old style cut hash browns / potatoes, and toast. While I was waiting, I was engaged by a nice lady who said she had decided to treat herself with a nice breakfast at the café. The meal was served and it was time to dig. Fresh crabs and vegetables with a sprinkle of Cheddar cheese and seasoned. Arrangements were also made available. The meal tasted great and made me feel full, but not weighed. When I ate a gentleman came in and sat near me and we met a friendly conversation. It was nice to get out of me, but not to feel alone. The service was great as the food. I'd probably go back. "I visited San Antonios a few weeks back after I wasn't in the pandemic. When my family and I lived in independence, we often visited here. Your mole is one of my favorites. Your salsa has actually taste and you can say some care is placed in it. We drove 45 minutes to eat here. The inside of it is beautiful and bright. The bathrooms are always clean and the staff is very attentive. I recommend eating in San Antonio's."

"This was my first time in this place, our server was Brenda and when we sat, we realized that the table was not big enough for the crowd of people we had. The manager who was on the front got us another table and put them together and we had plenty of space. Brenda was friendly going out and very jovial. We were there for a birthday party and they definitely gave us a great service. When they presented the birthday boy with their birthday Sunday, another manager surprised the rest of us at the table with two humble slices of chocolate cake and ice cream. He said everyone should get cake and ice cream on a birthday party. Hands down, this place knows how to customer service and do it right. I was pleasantly surprised and then blown away how well we were treated. I'll tell everyone I know how fantastic this LongHorn restaurant is. I want to be back."
