"One thing for particular is Gaslamp will be a unique culinary experience. You will not find the restaurant from the parking lot shared by many other facilities (BTW, if you are paranoid over door wings, I will warn you that the stands are extra tight). To find Gaslamp through the lateral entrance of Kailua Town Pub and Grill and go to the phone boat at the back of the bar and tell your secret password written before the hostess to win entry to Gaslamp. This can be confusing because there is another phone cell at the entry. I witnessed another newcomer saying the password to a pub customer standing at this phone booth, which in turn was friendly enough to get the newcomer on the right phone booth on the back of the pub. The first impression that you will get is that Gaslamp is really illuminated, and if your eyes adapt to the best that it can, this place is tiny with less than 20 seats. There is no shame to read your iPhone light to the cuz menu, it is practically impossible to read in the low light. Our waiter was Merit. Now this guy was funny and added a lot of humor to our culinary experience. Clark was our bartender who also offered an exemplary service. These two made our night pleasant. We started our evening with a few rounds of drinks that contain two unforgettable Must Tries, One Trick Pony and Mother Mayhem. The drinks are great, but are not cheap, in fact there is nothing inexpensive on Gaslamp's menu so you have put your mind on opening your wallet. There was live entertainment with a jazz saxophonist on the loft. The music was impenetrable and in good taste for the venue. I thought the soloist was talented and definitely beating that he was listening to music. We had some appetizers with our drinks, Diver Deep Scallops and the Caviar Bump. Both were excellent and the Caviar Bump was served together with a shot of Yellow Chartreuse Likör. The bartenders all come out and also have the bumps with you to make it a feast! We had King Arthur, Ribeye and Lobster, Steak Diane and Lobster Risotto for our main course. I felt that the crab that the second course along with King Arthur Beef Wellington was too difficult to eat, so it was passed on with more patience to someone else. The ribeye taste and texture was nothing special and not what you would expect better from Gaslamp. The beef Wellington, Steak Diane and Lobster Risotto were very pleasant. Summary:Drinks: Very goodService: ExcellentAppetizers: Very goodEntrée: Fair to GoodDining Experience: Very good Unlike a traditional restaurant, Gaslamp is a unique and fun culinary experience worth a visit."
