"John L. Regarding your review post. Let me put the record straight because you believe my 2 star review was unfair. The reason for the two stars (which I think is very generous at this point is because this is not the first time that this has happened. On Memorial Day: May 29, 2023 (you may remember this one I was there with 3 other people (on my recommendation! and we sat at a table drinking and decided to order food. We ordered 4 meals. When the 4 meals arrived all 4 meals were being attacked by flies. We complained vehemently to the waitress and after a while you John L. approached our table and began to address our complaint, explaining that it was an open bar and that you had installed screens to mitigate the problem. All the while the flies were still on our food, RIGHT before your eyes. (You know flies eat ****, right? . You then apologized for the situation and left the table. We asked the waitress for the check and lo and behold we were charged for everything. We left 4 uneaten fly infested meals on the table and left. NOW! the second time was on July 25, 2023 which prompted me to write a review, thinking I would give Off The Rock Tavern another chance and hoping that maybe the fly problem had eased. But no! I ordered a Jack Daniels and halfway through the drink a **** Eating Fly was in my drink. I called the waitress over and showed her the fly in my drink, she said to me the fly wasn 't in your drink when I gave it to you . I said NO **** it 's there now, what are you going to do about it? She said she would get me another, I said fine, get me another, but she insisted on taking the drink with her I told her NO bring me a fresh drink and then you can take the **** Eating Fly drink with you. She seemed to be a little flustered and annoyed, and I was starting to get annoyed with her incompetence to handle the situation appropriately so I decided to just ask for the check, and yes she charged me in full for a drink that the **** Eating Fly was enjoying. So John L. that 's why I gave your Off The Rock Tavern a 2 stars review. P.S. 85% of the downtown restaurants in Naples Florida are open restaurants, for some reason they don 't have the same problem."
