"Raas is a beautiful Indian restaurant in a restored Victorian house in downtown Lewes, Delaware. The ambience is excellent and there is a veranda that offers outside the restaurant. Each interior has a socket for charging phones, etc., which is convenient. Only my wife and I fed Raas tonight. We started with drinks - she had a spicy mango margarita that was definitely spicy and I had a 1947 beer (wish they had more Indian beers). For an appetizer we had the Cauliflower Manchurian, who were Spcy Fritte with a dipping sauce - delicious, but don't order this dish if you can't treat hot. For dinner I had the deconstructed Pork Vindaloo and my wife had the Lamb Shank roganjosh. Both dishes were well presented. The lambry is served in a small bucket of sauce, which makes it a little chaotic to get to your plate - you have to take it quite a lot with your hands. I was in Indian restaurants where you eat with your hands, but I don't think they thought this as a hand-on experience. The Roganjosh sauce itself was just OK. Light glands. The Vindaloo was also bland. The pig was perfectly cooked, but pork pliers are very bland on their own, and the deconstructed preparation means that the pig does not boil in the sauce and does not absorb any taste. The Vindaloo sauce simply did not serve the pork roast on the side. I applauded her genuity, but the taste simply lacked. Overall for the three dishes, two drinks and an order of butter naan was $120 in front of top. We will definitely go back to Raas, but would not get back from these ducks. We will definitely get the Cauliflower Manchurian back. There are many vegan options on the menu, so we will visit again in the summer when our vegan family and friends are in town will update my review after I tried other entrees."

"This is the review that I published on my Facebook page, “The Dining Biker” Thediningbiker: I just love a double date with good friends (Pam and Rodney Altemus), and I love to share a good meal with good friends. My husband, Dan and I thought Matt's Fish Camp in Lewes was the perfect choice for our annual Christmas dinner with our friends, and it didn't disappoint us! Matt’s kitchen is described as East Coast specialties, so the food ranges from Down East to Low Country. I am a sucker for Low Country, and so is our friend Rodney, so we chose the shrimps and grottos. That was my second time to get this court, and the second time was as good as the first. The castings are coarsely cut, so they are beautiful with the shrimps and Andouille sausages. Mixed with comminuted cheddar cheese, they are creamy and velvety. Some paprika jam there is everything, there is a bit of sweetness and acidity that there is beautiful balance. Of course you need a side of green collars with South Food. Matt’s makes the best herb in condition. Put your hands down. Dan chose fried chicken and waffles. These waffles were light as a feather, and the chicken was not over salty, nor was it fat. Right. Pam chose the seafood fra diavolo. The pasta was freshly prepared and perfectly cooked. The lobster dicks were unforeseen, weren't they? Apparently the bread was so light, there was a nice crunch without changing the taste of the lobster. The sauce was not excessively spicy, and the dish, although hearty, as a pasta dish would be expected, was not unpleasantly difficult. We all decided to treat ourselves to dessert, even if we were stuffed on the pebbles. I had the Brezelsalat, who was so comforting, happy, old-fashioned. Dan had peanut butter s’mores icebox cake that was rich and thick without being too dense. Pam and Rodney shared the pecan pie bread pudding with pumpkin ice cream. This plate was clean as a pipe when they were finished! A bit so clean about the restaurant itself. The bathrooms are impeccable. The kitchen is clean as I got several insights into the interior when the servers went on and off. The staff is incredibly friendly and they cough. I feel almost bad that I have nothing bad to say! Hmmm. You do not take reservations. That sucks. Happy?"
