"We got there at 3:40 on a Saturday and the place was empty so that was nice. There wasn't a long wait time for us to get our food considering how much we ordered. The waitresses were very curt but kinda cold and the room itself was cold. It makes sense considering the food but definitely bring a hoodie or something with you.From left to right starting at the top: we got shrimp tempura, spicy salmon, yellowtail jalapeno, the pink roll has soybean paper and mango and a spicy sauce but I can't remember the name, the one with eel is called the Hamden roll and a crabmeat roll. But they were all delicious and we hadn't eaten all day so we cleared the plate ? also when you get ice cream for dessert, they only give you one scoop jsykThe place started filling up FAST after 4. It doesn't take long for it to get loud in there especially when a family with several kids go in and one of them is whining the whole time (no disrespect, just sharing my experience)Also, their weekend prices (Friday Sunday) are more expensive than the other weekdays AND their prices will be going up in April so keep that in mind. 9/10"

"I love Liuzzi's. Love what they offer. Everything is delicious and typically Italian. If you like Italian food and want to either heat up, eat as is, or cook your own, this is the place to go. I have never bought a bad product from Liuzzi's. And the staff is always so friendly and gracious and willing to help. I just ordered one of their antipasto trays, filled with great Italian meat, cheese, and veggies and very generous in their amounts of each. I'm sure my guests are going to love every bite!"

"These guys have a double PhD in pizza from Yale and no one can convince me otherwise. NYC, NJ, don't hold a candle to this place! At all. Best sauce, crust to cheese ratio, cheese pull, flavor, crispy in the right places, floppy in the right places, not too greasy fresh MOZZ. Check my reviews, I've been all over the country. "This is the most accommodating staff I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I celebrated my 65th birthday party with a July 4th cook out theme. They did a magnificent buffet. I had about 8 kids (5yrs 17yrs) who kept asking for things. Food, plates drinks in supply. All the food was hot, and fresh, all afternoon. Lastly, no one rushed us out!! I arrange many parties throughout the year, I will return, and everyone should at least try a group dine in at Dino's!"

"I took a six week class that was hosted at the Best Western Plus, so naturally The Hook and Ladder become my go-to lunch place during the class. Their menu is standard American and is overall decent. My usual order became their chicken quesadilla, which is one of the hardier quesadillas I've ever had. Their wait staff are very nice and stay calm and patient when met with a big influx of customers. My biggest complaint is that their kitchen pushes out meals at a painfully slow rate. So it's not the best place to go when you have limited time."

"We had never been to North Haven Ct. before, and I always like to try local fare. We stumbled across this gem by happenstance and they did not disappoint. I dig the Townie vibe, as a handful were chatting around the bar. We were seated quickly and everyone was pleasant. The Buffalo wings were by far the best I have ever had, and the suggested Tequila did not disappoint. Shout out to the server for refusing to give me the well tequila. The wait for the main food was a little lengthy, but it happens. The salads were phenomenal and the fettuccine was near perfection. The value for the price was on point and was reflected in the tip. We will definitely come back if we ever wander through North Haven again. On a side note I have great concern for the Connecticut education system after being seated next to a group of educators…..one did not even understand the fact she received a pension. Yikes"

"It's a been a few years since I last visited, but I still think about this place from time to time. Whenever I'd visit my friend in New Haven, we'd always come here to feast on tacos and other offerings like tortas. The tacos are great value: $8 for 4 tacos for most of the selections. Best of all, they have my favorite variety of taco: tacos de lengua. Granted that the tacos de lengua come at a bit of a premium compared to the other varieties, but I'm more than willing to pay the extra $2. The taco fillings were generous and the chips pico de gallo salsa verde that came with each order was fresh. I wish they also gave radishes with the taco orders, but that's a minor thing. Next time I'm in New Haven, I'd be sure to come back here to have those tacos again."
