"This was an unfortunate occurrence, but will write about it anyhow. We came in after having tried to call to see if they could accommodate a party of 12 for dinner, around 7pm but their phone lines were not working. So we came in instead (we were traveling in for a visit to Horseshoe Bend The Grand Canyon). My partner and I arrived ahead of the group and tried to make sure things would be as ready as they could for our group. There was only one woman server, and she did tell us she was sorry but she was the only one there, and if we didn 't mind waiting a bit, she could accommodate us. She said she 'd be the only one in for the night. Interesting since it was a Saturday night but we went for it and took the risk. Our family started trickling in about 10 minutes later; my partner and I had just put the 3 large tables in the back room together, and we 'd also grabbed menus for the table to help. We even offered to help as much as we could if she needed We let her know we 'd be happy to help and she seemed to agree and somewhat be indifferent but she did tell us we could put the tables together in the furthest room so we did. We also grabbed menus and brought them to the table for us. Slowly the rest of our family starting trickling in. They were hungry and very excited to come to this restaurant because we 'd seen incredible reviews from other patrons on the food. The single lonely server took about 13 minutes to come greet us at the table we arranged. Then when she did, one of us asked can you in a more timely fashion, serve us and feed us in a more timely manner? She said she couldn 't answer that as she was the only one on and preferred to say what she could confirm for sure. We took that as a not really but decided to take the risk. So we ordered our drinks and asked if she would be ready to take our party and she said yes. All in all, it was even more delayed and it was just better to leave, so we did. It sucked though because we really wanted to try, our family was hungry, we 'd been assured that we 'd be able to get service, and we were ignored for smaller parties."
