"This is one of those places that I would visit weekly with my grandparents and my cousin growing up. I hadn't been there in a long time but recently decided that I had to know if it was still as good as it was back then. We ordered pizza and a salad just as we would do with my grandparents. The rolls came out hot and as good as I remembered them being before. The salad still so good, love that dressing and the pizza also did not disappoint. Another of my childhood favs that is still cranking out good food to this day!"

"I recently dined at Aces and was extremely disappointed with the food and service. The older woman who greets customers at the entrance is not suitable for this restaurant as it lacks customer orientation. After placing our order, we waited for an hour to receive our food, which was not worth the wait. The potato salad was overly mayonnaise-rich and not enjoyable. I ordered the BBQ ribs and brisket, and while the brisket was tender, the wood used to cook both meats left a bitter aftertaste. The ribs tasted strange and appeared to be freezer-burned. The lack of attention from the staff was evident when my plate was taken away without addressing any issues. Overall, it was a waste of money and time. I do not plan on returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone."

"The reviews stand for themselves and if they don?t just look on every wall and you can find a number of awards for just how amazing this little coffee shop truly is. We had a communication error during check out however they were so gracious andremedied the issue. That said everything we sampled was absolutely delicious by far my favorite and also the best biscotti thatI?ve ever had I encourage you to give us try their chocolate walnut biscotti. The beverages also offer charcoal infused tea asa way to detoxify and also turmeric and ginger selections as well for those of us trying to achieve that healthy brain gutbalance Hands-down one of the top three coffee shops I?ve ever been to internationally"

"I am just adding to all the other 5 star reviews. Yes they are worth it. Yes it is worth waiting for. Yes they make you feel at home. AND the food is excellent. When you ask for some OJ you get a glass, not a thimble. The pancakes(side order) are large and taste like Grandma's home made. Stop in, you will not be disappointed."

"The first two small dishes is an express butter and it tastes almost like espresso and the other is cinnamon butter it is really good on the bread then we have that a little spicy for my taste, but for others it likes it. Next we have shrimps and loaded potatoes the shrimps was a bit sharp, but if you are the spiciness this place is for you, but not least the wings that the mild was very spicy for me, but for each one is own attempt at your own risk. The Broccoli was not the best I had it a little old and burned. Except that the place was nice atmosphere great customer service. I would recommend this to my older couples, perhaps not, but the younger generation I would."

"Went in to get my daughter a happy meal and right before walking i saw a posted note, only accepting cash due to national coin shortage went in and ask if the note was still valid and was told yes by one of the crew who seemed to be a manager. Afterwalking out the same gentleman came and got me and offered my daughter a happy meal and also provided me a drink. Veryoutstanding crew and high five ???? for the great deeds they do on a daily basis. That 's my favorite restaurant from now on.This kind of act will never be forgotten."

"I went there on Sunday morning March 13th it was packed but the whole staff got us seated quickly and our server Kayla was amazing fast funny and kept our drinks full which is one thing my husband looks for in a server. "Your type of diving restaurant! Your Cubans rated number 1 for 13 or more years, and I can see why! Not quite the traditional Cuban, as it also has salami on it, but a GREAT supplement! Like in Plant City, I'm trying a strawberry milkshake. It was loaded with fresh strawberries. If I hadn't been drinking, I would have made a picture of the strawberries on the ground. My only disappointment was the bean soup. It was loaded with beans, ham and chorizo, but there was a fat movie on it. There is no food inside, only covered picnic benches. The service was a little slow considering that 4 people work. Call ahead orders seemed very popular."

"While visiting Plant City chose the Whistle Stop Cafe for lunch and was not disappointed. Cafe had convenient parking on the street as well as a small lot adjacent. There was not a wait on a Saturday and sat in a comfortable booth and experienced very friendly, efficient service. We tried sandwiches on their own fresh baked bread and the potato soup special. Our half sandwiches were the size of an entire one from other restaurants. The food menu is extensive and in my estimation would equate to old fashioned home cooking, fresh and tasty. Our waiter took time to explain the menu and choices and guided us to their signature food. The cakes looked fantastic although did not sample on this trip. My husband enjoyed his root beer float, the potato soup was very good and my cherry crush of seltzer and cherry syrup was a nice change. While dining there was live piano music and we even got to see a train pass as next to the tracks. The sandwich and soup combo with potato chips was $9.50 a person and. much better than any fast food. There was a play area with toys int he front of the shop as well. I would visit again and highly recommend."

"Was passing through the Lakeland/Plant City area and appreciated the fact that this restaurant is open until 10pm on a weekday. I really liked the atmosphere in the restaurant sort of like a clubby type of vibe. The service was extremely quick to get out our food. We ordered 6 rolls and we enjoyed them all. All the rolls were super fresh and tasty! I liked the fact that they wrapped their sushi in very little rice. That's the way to do it! We also ordered the steak and shrimp teriyaki combo that comes with soup and a ginger salad. The miso soup was great but the salad was not. They put way too much dressing on the salad and the dressing is way too sweet in my opinion. The entree comes laid on out a bed of onions, peppers, and a few carrots. Although the dish was swimming in sauce, it didn't have that punch of flavor that I would've liked. It's like the sauce was a bit watered down or something. But the portion of steak and shrimp was plentiful and much appreciated. Overall a great restaurant with great food. I'd highly recommend their sushi to anyone in the area."

"The quick pick-up service at this restaurant is a disappointment. You place your order only to arrive and find that your food is being prepared as you wait. The asiago bagels are overcooked to the point where the cheese is burnt and the bagel is too hard to enjoy. The front of house is understaffed with only one person working while others are seen chatting in the back. Another employee is making themselves coffee at the bar instead of helping out. If possible, I recommend going to the Lakeland location instead of the Plant City one."

"We got the taco Family pack of 10 soft hard tacos they were horrible the meat was disgusting. My daughter got the nacho supreme she got home home and threw it all up. I tried one of the nachos with everything on it that she ordered. It tasted likesoap the meat tasted nasty like something out of a can and it looked like mush . Also ordered the Big Beef Burrito and theseveral layers burritos. I don?t know what has happened with this chain of food but you?re better off making this yourself athome. The speaker box wasn?t working so I drove up to the window only for them to say they can?t take my order and I have to go back through the line. But if the speaker box doesn?t workand there is no one out there to take your order, how would going back through the line make sense?? "I have been working in the restaurant/service/hospital for over 15 years and was never as impressed by a worker as I was when I met vashawn at the Wendy’s in plans city, florida off baker st. this kerl had a work ethic like no other and a great job! they were really busy and he led the entire staff through this haste with a great attitude and great work ethics. he was polite and kept his serenity all the time and had a great feeling of urgency. what impressed me most is how he communicated and led his team. he deserves recognition."
