"Let me start off by saying that I am upset at my self for not going sooner. We live on the Rowlett side of the the Bridge, still inside Rockwall county. Not that far, but a good 30 minute drive and being lazy and hungry we always went for the closer options. Well, that will not be the case going forward. We went on a Friday night and the place was packed, but service was still great. There was a live band that was great too. Okay, so when we pulled up the parking lot was packed and spilling into the back that was 60 vehicles deep. We thought we were going to have to wait for a while but, after the drive we were okay with that. When we walked in we were greeted with a big smile and a welcome. The hostess let us know that there would be a little bit of a wait on food. We did not mind and we were Guided to our seats and prvided menus. Our server was at the table within 4 or 5 minutes and got our drink order. I got unsweet tea, my wife got water. The tea was amazing, strong and I had 5 glasses! We ordered the fried pickles for our appetizer, they arrived in about 15 minutes. Not a long wait in my eyes! I was very happy to see they were LIGHTLY breaded. They had an amazing crunch and the ranch was so good. None of the pickels tasted greasy at all. For me, that is a huge plus! As we kept eating and got down to the bottom of the basket we noticed there was sitting oil down in the bottom. That was a bit of a surprise as none of them were greasy, accept the last few still sitting on the bottom. Another 10 seconds to drain would have been PERFECT, but with the kitchen being rushed and backed up, they wanted to make sure the wait was not too long so I respect that so I was not upset at all. The menu offers so many different options, that it was a bit overwhelming to choose. When trying a new place my wife and I always end up getting something we both want, so we can share. That way we both get to try something at the new place! I landed on the chicken fried steak. It comes with mashed potatoes, and beans. The steak was fantastic and moist. The crust was crispy and had tons of flavor. The gravy lacked a bit of salt, but thats totally okay to me because I tend to like more salt than most people. When it comes to salt and pepper, I like to be able to add my own. My wife got the Bacon Cheeseburger, with sweet potato fries. OH MY GOSH!! The bun had to be potato bread or something because it was soft, sweet, and paired with that burger so well. The bacon was GOOD bacon, not that thin overcooked garbage most places serve and call it bacon. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. In fact, it was so good, that my wife would only offer me 2 bites HAHAHA. But man, those were some good bites. NOw, I am not a fan of sweet potato fries, and I only ate a couple. They are just not my thing, however my wife said they were amazing. We truly enjoyed our whole experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and everyone makes you feel like you are home when you are there. If you are on the fence about trying this place, jump off and start running. The prices are VERTY reasonable, the service is amazing, everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is so inviting. I can see spending many of nights here in the future!"

"We were told to pick a spot when we walked in. There was only two occupied tables aside from us! A waitress came and asked for our drink order. I asked for a coke and she rudely said “Dr pepper or Pepsi I already told him” I had been distracted with getting settled so I said sorry Pepsi is fine. 10 mins later we’re still waiting for drinks and menus. I walked to the front and grabbed a couple menus for my husband and I. Our waitress walked out of the kitchen and followed me to the table with the drinks. She barks “Who got the Pepsi?” I looked at my husband confused but I say “uh, me!” She all but slams our drinks down and says “okay what do you want to eat?” My husband tells her we’ll need a few minutes. (I KNOW she saw me walk back with menus and hand one to my husband) She says nothing and walks away. For 15 minutes she stares at our table. We make eye contact multiple times trying to show her we’re ready. We think she’s headed our way a few times and she goes to the bathroom or leans against a counter. When we see her go to the back again I ask my husband if he’s okay with going somewhere else. I walked to the front to pay for our drinks and a lady older than the waitress helps me. She asked me a few questions ultimately trying to smooth things over but it wouldn’t have been worth it. We did not see a single smile on ANY of the staffs faces. Not a good vibe! We're not a “make a scene” kind of family so we left and walked down to Alejandro’s for great service."

"It stinks SO bad outside. Sewer smell and it's bad enough to ruin an appetite just walking in. Lots of parking behind the building though. We went midday on a fairly busy Sunday. There was no wait and we were told to take a seat in the back. There were flies all over the place. 5 to be exact harassed us while we sat waiting for service. We had to retrieve our own high chair, which had broken/missing straps. Table looked clean. Staff was very obviously busy which we understand. They were still very attentive and nice. The food was less than impressive. The whites of the eggs were clear and snotty all over the top (my daughter was trying to eat around it and I instantly lost my appetite and felt sick) and the pancakes were almost crispy. I asked for my bacon burnt and it was slightly crispy. It still had good flavor though. I didn't bother eating the eggs or pancakes and neither did my daughter's. The biscuits here are awesome though and the white gravy was pretty good too. They had Smuckers jams which is always a plus. The orange juice was too sweet, almost syrup like. The Mexican omelet was okay. It was an omelet with chili on it. The chili tasted pretty generic, could have easily been Wolf brand. One thing that was really bothersome is that it sounded like they had some kind of blender behind us. They have an entire work/drink station in the back of the restaurant between the restrooms. They were running what sounded like blenders back there our entire meal. It was so loud we could barely talk to each other and my kids were incredibly stressed out by it. I ended up packing the youngest of them up and leaving my husband and older kids to finish up their meals and pay. The bathrooms were okay. Bugs on the floor and in rough shape but clean for the most part. Overall, I won't be back."
