"I ordered the Shrimp Pho, along with spring rolls and Thai iced tea. The Shrimp Pho was incredible, made with all-natural ingredients that tasted like they were freshly picked from a garden. It had a slight kick to it, but it wasn't overwhelming. The dish came with a side of bean sprouts, sliced jalapeños, and lime wedges. I've heard Vietnamese cuisine can be a bit spicy, so I added a slice of jalapeño, some sprouts, and a squeeze of lime. Wow! It was absolutely delicious! If I had a grandmother from the East, I'm sure this is what she'd serve me. The dish was both filling and light, allowing me to appreciate each ingredient on its own. It was perfectly balanced. The spring rolls were enormous! You could easily mistake them for mini burritos. They were translucent and refreshingly fresh! Soft yet satisfying, you could genuinely taste the simplicity that makes this cuisine so wonderful, especially when dipped in the peanut sauce. Wow! Discovering new flavors is always thrilling, and my taste buds were certainly enjoying the experience. If you’re a tea lover and looking for something new, I highly recommend trying the Thai tea. It has a unique flavor that is refreshing when served cold, making it perfect for the warm Phoenix weather. I've enjoyed this tea many times in the past at a Thai restaurant, and I loved it since my first sip. I'm definitely planning to return to Surprise Pho. Their menu looks fantastic, and I can't wait to explore more of their offerings. It's a bit different from Chinese food, but in a delightful way—the fresh, natural taste of each ingredient stands out beautifully on its own. When combined, they create an elegant and memorable experience. Every time I have such exquisite food, it inspires me to try new flavors. I suggest giving this restaurant a try, perhaps starting with something familiar. Take a look at the ingredients and envision the flavor combinations. I often do this when exploring new dishes, and then place my order. Of course, there's always the thrill of asking the waiter or waitress for their favorite recommendation. Overall, this is a lovely gem in Surprise, especially during the holidays. It's definitely unexpected but thoroughly enjoyable! You won't be disappointed!"

"This was the nicest ambiance Vietnamese restaurant I visited in Phoenix area, and I've been to a lot of them. The price is a little higher than the majority of Vietnamese restaurants in the valley, but they have happy hour prices 11 AM to 6 PM every day including weekends. The combination pho was very tasty, even the meatballs in the pho were good... and I normally don't like Vietnamese meatballs. Of course they had all the standard accoutrements to go along with the pho. The spring rolls had just enough mint without being too overpowering. Even the shrimp in the spring rolls actually had a shrimp flavor vs the flavorless ones out other restaurants. The peanut sauce for the springrolls was a little too salty for my taste... but even considering that I used it all. The shaken beef filet mignon was so tender, yet a little crispy on the edges from the grilling with an awesome flavor. I had wanted to visit this restaurant after seeing it on little people big world (TV show) noticed how nice it looked inside. The music level was just right, allowing you to easily have a conversation with others at your table. This restaurant has a full bar and lounge, I believe they open the lounge later in the evening as it was a saturday and 11:40 AM when we arrived so the lounge was not open at that time The only negative, What they call black tea is actually a passion fruit flavored tea, but they don't tell anybody that it's flavored. However, they swapped it out for a sprite, but the syrup/carbonation mix was off on the sprite. It tasted more like club soda, they made another one for us, which tested a little better, but it did not taste like sprite. It tasted like some weird off brand. I did appreciate that they didn't over charge on the sodas or tea, which were only two dollars each. It's a pet peeve of mine when restaurants, charge three and four dollars and up for a medium soda. So I'm glad their soda/Tea prices are more reasonable Overall, I was very happy. And plan on coming back next time I'm in the area."
