"When I tried to find new restaurants in the area, I came across Red Stag Tavern, who had great reviews for the food, so we decided to try it. When entering it seemed more sports bar than it was restaurant, which was a little in the time when we wanted to eat and not drink, but we decided to stay. I'm glad we did it. The restaurant is a very casual environment, with a pub feel entrance and back dining room with stage, but also a deck from the back of the building overlooking a pond. Unfortunately, the terrace was closed at night that we went, so we decided to eat in the back dining area. We ordered the Tavern shrimps as an appetizer that were big and well fried, also with a diving sauce that was quite delicious. Next we had the Philly Cheessteak, with Fritten, a Dudeburger, with onion rings and the house salad. The salad came nice with fresh green. The Philly wasn't the best Philly we had, but it was okay. The dude burger (apart from the undercook, I ordered medium and got red, almost rare inside) was delicious. I even understated this during the matter. The real surprise was the frits and onion rings, they were delicious. I'd go back for her. The server told us that they trivia nights on Tuesday and live music Friday and Saturday that all sound like fun, and we will probably return for one of these nights to check them."
