"This was my first visit to any Famous Dave 's. I walked in on a Tuesday evening through the To Go door- which I might add is a genius idea! You can order at a counter and wait for your food, order online or over the phone and pick it up through this entrance. To the right is the hostess stand for those patrons that will be dining in. Everyone was very pleasant when I walked in. I was greeted by a young man (maybe HS/early college age). He greeted me and asked if he could take my order- when I told him I 've never been here before and was looking for recommendations- he appeared to be excited to share the menu and walk me through the most popular items. I eventually decided on the 2- meat combo (pictured) choosing the Famous Ribs Pulled Pork accompanied by 2 sides (coleslaw mashed potatoes), and all meals finish with a Corned Bread muffin. If you look at the picture you can tell I was eager to jump in prior to taking a picture. The Ribs- the best I 've had in a LONG time- they fell off the bone, were perfectly smoked and could taste in each bite. The pulled pork was cooked very well- with just enough juice, spices, and BBQ sauce. The often forgotten- sides...The coleslaw was a creamy coleslaw- which is my preference and was very good. I 'm not a huge mashed potato fan, but thought I would give them a shot- I was not let down- they were really tasty. Rounding out this incredible meal was one of the better cornbread muffins I 've had. It wasn 't dry at all- very tasty. Overall, if you are in the Waldorf area and are a fan of BBQ I would highly recommend Dave 's Bar-B-Que. I only got a glimpse of the dine-in restaurant, but from what I saw, it looked very clean, well put together, well decorated, and an overall great ambiance for any group of people."

"My friend and I were looking for a place to grab a drink on a Saturday night around 8:30 we found Babes Boys Tavern on google and decided to give it a try. The environment is very friendly and welcoming patrons greeted us as soon as we walked in. The bar seats were nearly all occupied so we took a seat at a high top table. For a Saturday night, this place was very quiet definitely a slower paced neighborhood bar as opposed to a popular nightlife spot. The quietness was a little awkward at first, but we got used to it after 10 minutes. The bartender and food staff were really great; the bartender especially was extremely friendly. She went out of her way to make conversation with the guests, us included, and really helped to make our visit a positive experience. She was quick, attentive, and helpful with her service. Shoutout to her! The food was pretty good and priced very reasonably. We had the hamburger and cheesesteak with chips and fries respectively. Both meals were solid, not amazing but really solid. Portion size was great for the price wouldn't mind coming back here to eat at all. The kitchen closed around 9pm which felt a little early wish they stayed open a bit later so we didn't have to order as soon as we sat down. The drinks were good had a couple of rail drinks and wouldn't change a thing about them All in all, a good local spot if I'm in Waldorf again and looking for an easy going spot to visit I'd go back to Babes Boys Tavern. Really great service with quality food and drink."

"I had not been here in four or five years. My 2019 rating was five stars because the food and service were excellent and the price was a bit high but reasonable for the overall experience. I recently heard good word of mouth feedback about the place and decided to try it again. The food is still very good. The service was alright more on that in a moment. The place is very clean and tastefully decorated. The menus are now under the table top glass (maybe a leftover from COVID 19? , which put me off a bit personally (but I would not hold that against them . The prices had crept up (in my opinion past a bit high to high . I ordered a water, no ice, with lemon, and the waiter brought it with so much ice the glass was too cold for me to even hold, and the water was way too cold for me to drink. That has become one of my pet peeves with restaurants; there is a reason I don 't want ice, and I don 't think it is an unreasonable request to ask them to actually do less work for my drink. The waiter did fix it, but shouldn 't have had to. Anyway... I also ordered a hot tea. Today was a low carb day for me, so I ordered the lamb skewer, rare, and I asked if any substitute could be made for the rice. I was told additional vegetables was the only available substitution, and I agreed to that. The meal came quickly and was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed my meal and asked if there was any cost for a refill on the tea, and the waiter said no and brought another. I was presented with a bill for the lamb and tea, which looked correct, so I provided my credit card. Before he ran my payment, and without telling me, he added a charge for extra vegetables , then brought back the bill for me to sign. Fortunately, I noticed the bill total had jumped up around seven dollars, so I pointed out the situation to him. He did not argue, and said very quietly (I think sorry, my mistake (or something like that and ran a refund to my credit card for the difference. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and tipped 20% of the correct, pre tax amount. I 'm quite ambivalent about the whole visit. I understand all food prices are going up, and I am okay with an occasional $35 $40, high quality, well prepared meal, but adding something to the bill after showing it to me, without saying anything, is a *huge* no no, so honestly I probably won 't be going back in the near future."
