"Pretty good. Xin as a very good addition to the restaurant scene in West Lafayette. The food is very, very good and the prices are reasonable. We have the hot pot dishes, which is a wonderful way to eat with a group of your friends. There is something to say that you literally share a meal. The menu is not oriented to a non-Korea customer, but if you are adventurous, you can discover a new favorite dish. Seriously, you could simply ask the servers for additional information. Some of the other reviewers have commented two things: the 18% bliss and service. Let me give my two cents for this: 1. The added 18% Congratulations is NOT mandatory. If you look at the bill, you have the opportunity to give more or less. It doesn't matter to me. I regularly give 20% tip. I'm relieved for one, I don't have to consider how much to give, Unlike in Europe or Asia, where servers earn a salary, in the United States, customer tips make almost all a server take home win. These people can earn as little as $2.00 an hour! So I am not buried in Gaza for their servers to be blamed and not stiffened by customers who give a server a reasonable tip, unless it serves them hand and foot. 2. The unfriendly service. I've never seen that before at Xin. Sure, the servers are not about me and my friends and promise that they will take care of us this day, but the servers were polite and always willing to answer questions. They were never rude or unfriendly. If they slide tightly, it is probably just a cultural property. In many countries, servers should be UNOBTRUSIVE. Maybe the other reviewers expect servers to banish and chat with customers or expect servers to return to the table every 10 minutes to ask how things are. Aaargh! I find these annoying and disturbing. I'd rather go to a place where the server gets my order, serve my food, and give me the bill if I ask her at the end of the meal. If I need a water replenishment, I just swing over a server. If I have a question about a court, I wonder. If I need a new set of files because I dropped it, I get it myself or ask for one. I suppose the food and service at Xin are all right for me. As long as the server can't snore, curse or look at me, I'm good."
