"My husband wasn't feeling the local bar I found on Yelp for lunch, so he suggested trying Tara's Diner. There weren't a lot of other businesses around in the sleepy little business district. The cafe was well-kept and simply decorated. We sat at the counter and while he had a bacon cheeseburger, I had a hot ham and cheese sandwich. Sandwiches were not served with any sides, so we decided to split an order of waffle fries, which I believe was $3.65. The price seemed a little high, but once I saw the size of the order and the size of the waffle fries themselves, I was OK with it. My sandwich was a nice slab of ham with plenty of cheese melted on toasty white bread. They had iced tea available in bottles as well as soft drinks, and were offering a daily special of a sloppy joe with tater tots. There were several people, possibly family members, in and out of the kitchen and we talked to a few of them who were very nice. I wouldn't really expect a place like Tara's to have accepted credit cards, but that was a nice bonus as well."
