"Looking for a restaurant on Sunday for dinner is not easy as many many restaurants close on Sunday in Frankfurt. I wanted a quick meal close to my hotel the Hilton Frankfurt City Centre and so just walked across the road, down the street and down a side street looking for anything that was open and came on this Greek taverna. At around 7 or 7:30 pm on a Sunday, it was mostly empty so I had no trouble walking in and getting a table. It has a covered porch on the outside but I opted for inside seating with air conditioning. There is an extensive menu but as I was by myself, I opted for the Grill Platter Classic which had a small lamb chop, a huge pile of gyros pork under, a skewer of chicken souvlaki and several roll shaped meatballs (souzoukakia), roasted potatoe slices and giant pieces of broccoli. The lamb chop was very small and thin but the portions on the rest of the platter were all very generous particularly the gyros which seemed to be a never ending pile. Flavours were strong. Price was reasonable for the large quantity of food, and I could not finish everything in the platter. When I asked for the bill, the waiter brought over a complimentary plate of watermelon slices but I was too full to do more than take a bite or two."
