"If a restaurant deep in the woods tries to present a "worldwide" menue it can only go wrong. What exactly it did. Sashimi and sushi and other exotic dishes instead of simple but well prepared local dishes. When the aspirations far outpace the chef's capabilities you get this kind of food.We had breakfast, pre-opera snacks and dinner at the restaurant. The food presentation was at best "simple", the sashimi was 3 rather large pieces of Thuna lying somewhat lost on their plate. The roasted Blutwurst was ok but nothing to write home about and the Bratwurst with Kraut a total failure. The breakfast beacon was way to salty and fried to death.Unless you stay at the hotel and don't want to leave eat somewhere else.I have no idea how the positive reports here could evolve.By contrast, the Austrian wines served were really good and reasonably priced. And the service friendly and attentive. So, back to cooking school."
