"As a vegan I looked forward to my visit. The diner decor is quirky, cool, shabby diner chic. The menu is varied, and the portions very generous, in fact neither me nor my companion could finish our food. It’s a bit more expensive than I expected, but sourcing restaurant quality vegan ingredients might explain that, but a lettuce is pretty much a lettuce and they used the cheapest Iceberg in the burger that I had.I chose the ‘beyond meat’ burger, which famously ‘bleeds’ like real meat.I wasn’t asked how I wanted it cooked, so it arrived over cooked and tasted meaty but a bit mushy. There was too much sauce on the burger and the bun was hard and then fell apart because of the over use of sauce. There was hardly any salad in my burger, just a couple of shreds and as I said before it was cheapest lettuce. The fries were great, my onion rings starter was excellent and so were the fried ‘mozzarella’ sticks. Lola Cola tastes great too.The service was friendly and efficient."
