"I visited Pepernero for lunch on a Sunday with a Friend. Venue: The pepernero we went was conveniently located next to the Lehel uBahn station (Thierschplatz exit). Getting there via U4 or U5 was no fuss. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and the seating comfortable. Food: We ordered 3 dishes the calamari as anti pasta, the Pesto Gnocchi and the Seafood Pasta. I was with a Friend with special dietary requirements and the waitress offered to change the pasta base to one without alcohol. Bread was served at the beginning of the meal. The calamari, came with a salad as a side, tasted really fresh and tender. The pesto gnocchi was tasty. The pasta was too soft for my liking I think it would be better al dente. However, it could be cooked soft as it was a squid ink pasta. The food portion was big and could have easily fed 3 people. Service: We were warmly greeted by the waitresses upon arrival. Although the restaurant does not have a English menu, the staff helped with the translation and explanation, enabling us to order relatively smoothly. Price: The food was fairly priced. We paid around 40 Euros (including tips) for 1 Appetizer, 2 main courses and 2 drinks. Overall: the food quality is decent and the atmosphere comfortable. I would return for a meal if I am back in Munich again."
