"I 've been visiting Pastabar.de Di Cornali regularly for a couple of years now so perhaps it 's time to add to the multitude of comments from a different perspective.... The restaurant is extremely close to my apartment, so it 's very convenient but I am very difficult to please ! so location is not an influencing factor at all for me. What does influence me personally is quality and this small restaurant is overflowing with quality honesty both in the food the service. As other people have noted, the restaurant 's quite compact, but that only adds to the friendly intimate atmosphere.... I genuinely have no complaints at all about the staff they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable they 're as flexible as is reasonably possible. Regarding the food : Italian specialities cooked to perfection including the take aways ! with small requests changes to the menu accommodated with understanding. Some of the comments I 've read here just don 't relate to the restaurant I know and I 've been there when some of these people have been in the restaurant....and their comments just aren 't fair or realistic. It 's not a Chinese take away, it 's not McDonalds, it 's not Wiener Wald : this place strives to be authentic cook food the way it 's supposed to be cooked and if you don 't like that then go get your mass produced food from a restaurant chain ! The menu changes on a regular basis which is also refreshing and the philosophy of using locally bio sourced foodstuffs is something that should really be applauded. And on to the wine.... Also a small selection, but a very fine one, and something that also changes occasionally. Value for money ? Honestly ? Outstanding. In summary, a little piece of Italy in a busy corner of Cologne leave your airs graces at home you 'll have an evening to remember !"
