"Food was way over priced for the portions. Subway is cheaper. We wanted soup which was advertised but they did not have any. The chicken salad had way to much Mayo. Prime rib sandwich was bland and not worth the price. Will not be back."

Genuine local service with olden days aesthetics! Had their seasonal turkey panini with stuffing and cranberry mayo....wow! Betty (owner) was sweet

Loved everything about this cute little small-town deli!!! Service was excellent and personal. The sandwiches were delicious and the desserts were to die for! Would highly recommend if you like trying local flavors!

"Have not eaten here before. Was greeted by a masked young man and seated. Every table in the small place was full. There is outdoor seating available. Our waitress was very nice and full of personality. The margaritas were good and my Carnitas dinner was prepared just right. My girlfriend, who has been here a number of times, dinner was also prepared properly and enjoyed. The Don Jose location is not optimal as it is co-located with the Exxon. Parking is adequate yet have to keep an eye out for other cars. Still, this was a very surprising experience. I did not have high expectations and it certainly exceeded those. I have eaten at Mom Pop Tex-Mex restaurants in El Paso and Don Jose is not that, yet, still this is better that many of the American/Mexican restaurants. Don't let the location dissuade you from enjoying. We will be back!"

"If you are wondering if you should go to this place the answer is absolutely YES. Go Now! This was one of the best burgers I have had in my lifetime and I have eaten a lot of burgers from all over the globe in my 5 decades on earth. The bacon was crispy, the cheese melted just right, the bbq sauce was spot on, and the burger itself was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fries were crispy and hot and abundant. The atmosphere was great, well decorated with memorabilia and photos of all sorts of military service. The staff is welcoming and attentive as well. If you have a family go here most of the burgers are big enough to share if you can agree on which one to order. The prices are super reasonable so it won’t break the bank. The atmosphere is kid friendly with plenty of room to spread out bring some uno cards and have some family fun time around the table. If you are single, go here on a date, or just go alone, or go with some friends take them to get a burger from this place and you will be the most popular person you know. This is the place you always wanted to find but didn’t know about until now."

"Reviewers giving this dive 4 and 5 stars need to get out more. This is your poster child for distressed strip mall Asian plates. Why we stopped here instead of several other likely better choices in the area is a topic for another day, but let's suffice to say it was about 730-800pm. There were still customers coming and going. They offer a very limited set of standard popular Asian dishes, served up quick, hot, and average-priced. However they redefine bland and flavorless. The place, being a divey strip mall suite, does not engender confidence in the sanitation practices. I was thinking to myself whether this place might actually be like some of the scary places shown on hidden camera shows. The dirty floors and unbussed tables were giving me the willies. Pros: constant take out traffic means food is not sitting around long, even for a late dinner. Portions are large. I did not get sick. Cons: Food is not tasty. No fountain drinks. The dinning room is not kept clean. Is the kitchen?"

"I drove 25 minutes from Western Ave to get Love Potion 31 after calling to confirm, only to arrive and find out they wouldn't serve ice cream because they were cleaning their freezers. This is completely unacceptable. They should clean the equipment after operating hours. I will never go back."
