"Most of the time it’s really good, but there are times when it’s just bad. Seems like there one or two cooks who don’t really know what they’re doing, but, overall I’ve had mostly great experiences. I was disappointed that they weren’t able to apply a 20% off for “takeout Thursday” after I placed a take out order online. The girl on the phone rudely told me to “press the back button and see if it could be applied”, so I don’t think she understood what I was saying as I already paid for it. I’ve worked at a few restaurants and we’ve always been able to fix that for customers, so I was surprised that she claimed they couldn’t go in and apply the 20% off and just credit my card."

Food was good, as expected. I love that they give you rice (choice of white or brown) with your meal when at the grill. We ended up ordering a side of fried rice before we knew, but it was great. Our server was wonderful and sweet. Will be back again!

I definitely enjoyed this place, granted when I came here it was very close to closing time. I just wanted to get in and out. Waiter (Ramon) was very nice and the food was great! I only wish they better explained how this place works every time I come because I always forget haha. The rice was also fairly gummy. But coming as late as I did I can't be mad. I'll probably come back.

Went for a girl night and had amazing service! After we were removed from a park structure in the cold, we were immediately greeted and brought to a table. Tony came out and greeted us; just let me say the rest of the night could not have been better! The whole staff had such an outrageous attitude. Tony was very attentive to all the tables. When we asked for something, it came right away. Drinks were never empty! So glad I left. Will be back for the service!

"We were so excited to dine here as we’ve been ordering food from Zingerman’s for years. The Roadhouse did not disappoint. Everyone was super friendly. Our wait person, Dawn, was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Our meal was great. I had the American breakfast and my husband had the waffle with grits and bits. I liked his better than mine but my biscuit was amazing. The staff also brought us samples of the Mac and cheese and it was delicious. We had a great time and hope we get to come back soon."

"my omelette and kartoffel came cold, like the other two with me. Once we placed the order, it was delivered within 2 minutes. that is a true statement. the waitress said they had made the dinge in advance to assure that they did not withdraw. this will be the last time I go to the breakfast / brunch here. it is more expensive and I think they should expect more from zingerman. very disappointed."

"The service was fantastic but the food was just ok. And for the amount of money that we were charged, it just wasn’t worth it. We order three filets, one 8oz and two 4oz, and the two smaller ones were just not good pieces of meat that they tried to dress up. They were so thin that there was a bottom and top but no middle. I noted in the reservation that it was a Special Occasion but that was never acknowledged or even asked about. Last but not least, the wine list was extremely sparse. Surprising if the ‘wine’ is your foundation. I won’t be going back."

"the only reason why there is no 5-star course is because I feel that customer upgrade has been lost in this hotel. they used to offer half-priced rooms for Sunday, continental breakfast, appetizers for happy hour, all gone. my man went there for over 30 years during the Michigan race and he saw many changes. it was a family weekend for us until it became too expensive, then instead of 2 rooms he had to go on and made it a young one. in the course of the years he saw the customer upgrade die and take over the almighty. if he had a problem, the job he got was not as if it were going elsewhere. as a delight for a hotel it is to do an elite hotel for the fountain. we went back to Kovid and found it very expensive. it's lovely, but they don't offer their gasses any more. beautiful rooms and very clean, but I can get this in the best western for significantly less. the rooms are not cleaned during their stay, I understand because I kovid, but in reality that saves them money because the cleaning staff has not so much to do. I know everything is going to be expensive, but when you see that the almighty takeover and customer upgrade are lost, it's sad. it will be a long time when we go back because it will only become too rich for my blood. it was always a bit expensive, but it was not justified with those of them."
