"I was on a work trip in muscatine iowa. I wanted to treat the team on a few bakery breakfast tasty and asked the merrill hotel manager for a recommendation. he immediately said big cats a block away. the selections were plentiful! the bakery were skorone, muffins and bars. everything so tasteful and fresh. and coffee. the owner has a great positive attitude and is itself a food. I'm happy that I found this jewel and planned to go back. the pfirsichskerl was my favorite!"

they cannot go wrong in big Cat’s cafe. it's all good! a large selection of coffee, tees, sandwiches baked goods to cheap trips. there are free wlan comfortable seating options to relax and enjoy the flow. a great addition to the inner city muscatine.

I enjoyed this cozy setup with many natural lighting. I had hot kakao, who was rich and tasty and beautifully paired with the spinach quiche, which was pleasantly appetizing. the staff was very friendly. price point is a bit high if they are looking for an alternative to a chain or dieucks, but the taste does not miss a beat!

Owners are wonderful!Wonderfully delicious sandwiches and beverages! I've had the Cranberry Chicken salad sandwich and their veggie sandwich. Scrumptious!Strawberry banana smoothie and the Watermelon mint refreshing beverage (sorry, can't remember actual name. It was posted right by the register Oh my gosh! I'll be back for sure!

"If you can see the kitchen, it is a good sign. My wife and I had a great experience here. We just wanted to take a little home, but the atmosphere and the food were enough to make this place a regular stop. Certain touches about this place you just can't make - I loved watching the kitchen staff talking to the regular when they cook. Good natural barbs from the cook and its employees, laughing and friendship from customers. I felt like I was an extra in a really cool restaurant-themed movie. The food was just great. We had a pizza, but it was so good (as you could find in a little pizzeria in Chicago) that I wanted to try out the ducks. Next time. Our server was great. Attention, knew the menu and let us bump until we found out what we wanted. You will not find that the manager table-to-table here, because if you need something, the manager cooking is, and you are comfortable enough to just scream out if you want. But we didn't want anything. Take a date here, or your family... something for everyone. Thanks for a great night!"

"Awesome place with a great atmosphere. Service was quick and very friendly and all food was fantastic. I stopped in with a friend while we were in town and this was the recommended place to go. Glad we went. They had lots of tvs so we could catch up on sports while we ate! We went yesterday which was a Football Sunday day so that was definitely important They had a great selection on the menu. One suggestion- if you order a burger make sure to order how you like it, because they cook to medium well otherwise. It is written on the menu but we both forgot to change. All in all, great local bar with friendly folks."

"We had a great time with great food! The pizza was good but the pasta was fantastic! The owners are real Italians not fake American Italian (big difference). We live in Italy for a time and we really enjoy authentic restaurant. They were really friendly and made us feel at home, even speaking with us in Italian. The coffee is spot on something many places mess up and the tiramisu was heavenly."

"Service is fast and friendly. Her Keksteig snowstorm is my favorite, as well as her cherry loop. For the food we get her bacon cheese burger, BLT or Tylloin. There is almost always a line, but they manage to get through orders pretty fast."

"This is a great place to eat. It feels like home with a casual, family atmosphere. The waitress who served us was very friendly and polite. Our food was also served very quickly. I have a ham and cheese sandwich and pommes and it was very good. Her green beans and chicken noodle soup is also very good. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with plenty of choice. Would come back!"
