"The special veal on mashed potatoes and veggies garnished with popped corn is absolutely delicious. Mussels were heavenly. And wine selection was great. Gracious hosts, quiet atmosphere, and nice decoration just adds to the experience. Every time we are in Vermont now, we are making sure to try this again."

Otherwise of our meals Salmon and Pork were over cooked. The chef must have been busy with other large parties and did not pay attention to our meals. The vegetables were fine however

amazing eating and ambiente. they were able to sit 8 people in the night and we had a small private room, it was so beautiful. the brittle spirouts were the best I had and the duck was also amazing

The staff was super friendly, accommodating, and truly eager to give us a great experience. The food was excellent the duck was perfect! other folks in our party had the mussels, the fish, and steak...all loved their dinner.

"Dining at Edson Hill is clearly meant to be an experience. They certainly charge you for it. At those prices, execution and flavor need to be spot on, and they just ... weren't. Pumpkin soup was so bland and thick, it was like eating flavorless applesauce. Scallops were very good, and cooked nicely, but thrown on top of a pile of spaghetti squash that, again, lacked any flavor. It was clearly squash season, but not a hint of spice or nutmeg. The duck was the highlight of the meal, and the only dish that was executed correctly. Our steak frites was so disappointing. The cut should have been saved for well done, it was not a quality piece of filet, which is the wrong steak for a frites anyways. The fries were perfect and plentiful, but when the fries outshine the steak on a frites plate, that's a problem. For $52 I expect a nice cut. Everything lacked salt and pepper. Dessert was fine, but the cheesecake didn't taste of pumpkin at all, and really didn't taste of cheesecake either, more of a slightly sour mousse cake. All in all, this was a lesson. Take your money to Montreal or the Eastern Townships. They do fine dining better, cheaper, and more casually so you don't have to play along with the stilted service only to be disappointed by the food. Edson Hill is meant for an over 50 crowd who is still more impressed by an obsequious maitre d'hotel than by properly seasoned food."

"the breakfast buffet was easy. I liked the cheese and top selection, but it was almost as if everything that was cooked for tomorrow was it (i.e. nobody came out to fill up earthy and saw the egg to sit for a bit.) if the price was lower, I would give these five stars, but simply did not see the worth in it and had spent $70 on something else inside and a bagel. the location and view of the dining room are very beautiful."

"we visited this place on our last trip to Vermont. in ca. 4 pm migrated to a relatiw empty space and rested all the way back. the server apologised when she realized that we were sitting there for good 15 minutes without even water being served. she was a great host. we ordered a few beers and appetizers. the service is somewhat slow, but eating and drinks are good. so they visit this place for beer! it can be occupied on a sunny day with outside seats. parking on the back and much available. this place is quite large with capacity and offers space for big parties. they asked if we had reservations before we entered. we had gone to the house. hopefully, the experience is better when we visit this place next time. they have withdrawn our appetizers for the late in service. they understand this gesture."

"This café is so wonderful! We discovered it during our visit to Stowe and visited some times. There are such a number of baked goods and treats, and they also have a refrigerator with fresh, prefabricated dinner options. I was thrilled that she had found Popover, one of my favorites, and not something often in bakeries! I don't joke when I say they were the size of my face. And so light and tasty! The seating area was nice, and there were some nice goods throughout the business. Would definitely recommend and will return when we are back in Stowe!"

"Totally awesome deli in Stowe. Great prices and good food, as well as local food and delicious desserts! On one of my first days in Stowe I got such a delicious and affordable frying sandwich that I came back and got twice one! You make it right in front of you, really fast while you are shopping, so you can ask them what you want, like extra horseradish or whatever. There is a picnic table outside and people eat lunch and drink there all the time, but it was never packed or crazy like most restaurants down in Stowe right. All three people who worked the register were amazing and cool. Great deal! Go here for a Dope sandwich at a good price and skip the lines down on the mountain road!"
