"So goooood.. I ordered the half slab ribs and 2 sides combo plate. I was surprised at the cost. with a drink it was 18.50. I really wanted the ribs though, so I went with it. I am glad I did. I really only used the BBQ sauce on my fries. the ribs were awesome. they had that nice red smoke line at least a quarter inch into the meat and were nice and juicy. big ribs too. the green beans were good. the fries. nice n crispy. perfectly seasoned. other then the price. this meal was excellent. after leaving. the price seemed to not sting as bad either. I felt the worth in the belly."

Food is consistent, staff is friendly, place is clean. It's good, classic, messy face BBQ. Every person in my family enjoys it. Their sweet tea is good too

Brisket burger was dripping w flavor!. Stopped for lunch on the way from Nashville to NOLA. Brisket burger was on special so we split that and a BBQ chicken loaded potato. Got a rib plate and onion rings for the road. Was definitely worth the stop. Best BBQ chicken loaded potato I've ever had. Top to bottom!

I have the Cheeseburger with a friend today. We split a sequence of onion rings. At first I loved the fact that you could say that they had cooked our cheeseburgers after we had ordered them. I'm not a big barbecue fan, but the Cheeseburger sounded good! And it was pretty bad. The onion rings needed some salt, but overall good after we salted them. Enjoy it. We're coming back!

"We celebrated our 22-year anniversary at The Bright Star on April 1. They were moderately busy. We had a reservation and sat as soon as we arrived. The staff was welcoming and our waitress was very friendly. Several things happened while we were there that were customer-related and the staff treated them well. A man fell out of his chair when he slipped away from his table to stand up. Our waitress and some others helped him. Our waitress also had a problem with another table food and the owner came out and took our order so that she could bend to her other table. It was a great ad of good administration and the owner ready to do what is needed to help his customers and his staff. The last time we had dinner at The Bright Star was more than 15 years ago. They offer old charm with traditional Greek style options and an updated menu that combines old and new. The cocktails from the bar were delivered immediately and were delicious. I had the Texas Peach martini, decorated with a fresh Jalapeno Alice, and my husband had a whisky sour. We recommend The Bright Star."

"Saw this place had good reviews and wanted to see for myself. Happy I did. Got a pork chop, Mac and cheese, yams and cornbread to go. When I got home I took one bite of each and did a little dance. Damn? everything was good. Will go back again and highly recommend this restaurant."

"The food was great! We had the shrimp plate and stuffed snapper! It was incredible. Jimmy let us sample the gumbo and they gave us a piece of pie complimentary because it was our anniversary. The staff and service was tremendous as always. I travel the country and eat at a lot of great restaurants but this is my favorite restaurant. We also ate in the Bear Bryant room."

"My husband and I wanted to support JWings at our church event. We waited patiently for about 15 mins. We we got out order we had bitesize wings and the food tasted like it had been cooked in old grease. We did not want to get sick so we decided to throw it away.
