"Ooo la la!. We joined another couple for our first visit to Café Provence last week and we were all blown away by the food quality, the service, the ambiance, and the overall experience. We never expected an exquisite gem like this to be nestled in a suburban shopping center. Walking in is like being transported to a classic French restaurant on the Left Bank. The artwork and the 1950s French fashion photos combined with the way the tables were set and arranged (and the de rigueur bar area) to provide a wonderful warm welcome. The food and wine were spectacular-classic French fare executed with skill and passion. This is a family-run restaurant and the love and care that go into each offering were front and center. Some favorites: a warm octopus salad that was perfectly grilled, seasoned, and sauced; the best escargots in town; a French onion soup that bursts with layered flavors; and unbelievably skillful handlings of salmon (seared, with cabbage, mushrooms and a sublime sauce), pork (braised, with chorizo and pea risotto), chicken (sautéed, with grilled asparagus and an otherworldly Morel cream sauce), and a cod special (seared, with sautéed mushrooms, prosciutto, and a magnificent sauce). Don't miss desserts! A local woman provides freshly made sorbets that are inventive and delicious. All the other desserts are prepared in house and are perfect ways to cap a meal, especially the banana crepes and the chocolate cake. The service is friendly, impeccable, and unobtrusive. It was a perfect (and unexpected) evening; we are already planning a return."

"WOW! I had the bacon sausage with gravy and an egg over easy! Get the hot sauce on the side because it is hot! Excellent original restaurant. Looking forward to trying some of the wieners at home. Bought some bierocks to take home. My Wife had the classic dog and a salad. Very good. Oh my goodness the bierocks were fantastic . They even wrote the recommended cooking instructions on the package they turned out fantastic."

"My girlfriend and I had a great experience dining here this past week. The fried chicken (which, according to our waiter, is only available on Wednesdays) was absolutely delicious but still light. We also enjoyed the pork ravioli, lobster tagliatelle, and duck empanadas. The wait staff was very accommodating and the ambience was lovely. One of my favorite restaurants in Kansas City!"

Scheint einfach, aber so viele Orte verstehen es falsch. Die Seiten waren großartig. Wir hatten nichts mehr für die To-Go-Box, das sagt Ihnen also etwas. Dieser Ort ist konsequent und gut geführt. Danke für ein tolles Essen. Wir saßen in einem Reservebankettsaal, das ist also mein einziges Rindfleisch. Ein wenig getrennt von der realen Atmosphäre des Ortes. Aber sie waren so gut für sie beschäftigt"
