Twice in one month!!! Amazing food selections. The staff was absolutely amazing. Portion sizes and flavors exceeded expectations. Great atmosphere for a drink, lunch, dinner or event.

Came here before a concert I’m not from the area. Food was just ok.. had to send a drink back and then my next one had a lot of syrup so I didn’t enjoy that one either but didn’t want to keep sending stuff back. Rest of the table got beers and those were good.

We came for a bite to eat. It's located at Anderson and White Lake Road in Clarkston. When you walked inside, the aroma was so good. It's got a nice menu with a lot of different items to choose from. Creamy Mac and Cheese, nachos, Buffalo dip, and other choices. Variety of craft beer, Michigan craft beer, like Bells, American beer IPA's. We had the turkey burger with avocado. Rice beans. "I have a device in my mouth and can't chew. This place has the most delicious soups. I have a cup of Chicken Tortilla and Lemon Rice. The waitress was very nice and let me try the soups before I ordered to make sure I could eat it, unlike any other restaurants I went to. My mother has a burger and it was huge. Our lunch was just $13! Overall- Great food, great service, and not expensive."

"Kruse’s Deer Lake Inn became my favorite restaurant in the area. They have some unique flavors (like their current harvest salad, the candied pecans, apples, bacon, goat cheese and a bacon vinegar that sounds questionable, but is quite delicious). And everything on the menu is great and they have a wide selection of dishes, depending on how I feel (Ribs, parmesan encrusted flounder, fish and chips, black chicken slaughter, Tortellini Pasta with chicken and palomino sauce). You always have a good desert on the menu also (the four berries crucifix is my favorite, and now it is apple crucifix). The service was absolutely amazing every time I was there, and the management was also exceptional."

"I tried Union Woodshop for the first time on my way to a concert at the DTE Energy Music Theatre. The trip to the concert hall was a breeze from here and lasted only about 5-10 minutes and without traffic jams as there are when approaching the other direction. There was a 40-minute waiting time to take place so we had an order that was ready to EXACTLY when it was estimated that it was ready and the order was correct. They were very generous with the containers of the BBQ sauce, which are free on request. This place is ideal for carnivores, vegetarians and vegans. I ordered the Pretender Burger without cheese or Mayo and substituted with vegetarian dirty rice for frits. I tried the Memphis, Lockhart and Koreatown BBQ sauces. They describe Lockhart as “very sharp” but who has lived in TX as I have) will probably not find it at all. It's good! Koreatown reminded me of sweet acid sauce, but you could say it had a lot of fresh ingredients in it. The next day I used my leftovers as a salad dress, but it would be really good with spring rolls or egg rolls. I used the Memphis sauce on both my burger and rice. I am a long-term vegan, but due to time constraints and other factors, I have not asked to check that the rice and the burger bungalow were fully vegan, so if you do not want any chance to consume something non-vegan, you will ask about this and report back). My dining room partner ordered the Coco house salad, which is herzhafter as the typical side salad, as it has chickpeas and it seems to be vegan if without the feta cheese or the dressing that seemed milk or egg based, although it is possible, it is not, but it looked so to me). Some people find the parking situation difficult, but for me it depends on what you are used to. It is much easier than most big cities, but it is in a “hip” area that can be a little busy.
