"Our table was served by waitress Nicole, who was not very accommodating. She refused to take our order for food along with our appetizers and charged me for an item that was never delivered to our table. However, she did remove it from the bill when I pointed it out. We had to ask for most of our items instead of them being offered to us. When I requested lemons for two glasses of water, she only brought one. Overall, it was a chaotic experience. Although the food was delicious, I would hesitate to dine there again if Nicole was our server."

"Oh my goodness where do I begin? My local friend made reservations in advance otherwise we would have had to wait a long time because the place was sold out! Incredible menu choices as well as daily specials too much to choose from. Service was fantastic and wow the swordfish and scallops extremely tasty! I felt like I was eating on top of a job 300 story building with the ultimate wood grilled menu! I will go back every time I visit Jackson!"

"Jackson is an up-and-coming food city. There have always been good eats here, and Pig Pint is an example of how the city's food scene is progressing. The set up of the restaurant reminds me of an Austin BBQ restaurant, but the taste is all Mississippi. All pork items are the exceptional choices here. You get good slow cooked meat that is not over glazed with gross, sticky BBQ sauce from a store. They also feature the best beers from New Orleans, Jackson and Memphis on tap."

"We went for a late lunch before heading to the airport. On a Sunday, so no crowds. Restaurant is located nearby University Hospitals and they have a Grocery store on the back of parking lot. Clearly they are short staffed (as most places, blame it on Covid). Despite that, service was extremely friendly, attentive and efficient. Those 2 ladies were flying all over the place. Food came fast. We ordered some options of 'combinations ', appetizer combo, kebab combo, etc so we were able to try lots of different tastes Every single thing was AMAAAAZING. Meats were fresh and tender. Seasoning was excellent. We were literally scratching the dishes with bread at the end, no hummus to be wasted! 'Great Food ' said our friend who is Iranian Kurdish. He knows how it should taste, I guess. LOL We ended with a variety of desert options and tea. As odd as it sounds, among baklava, birds nest, etc. try their homemade tiramisu. Homemade indulgence! It was a perfect way to end our trip to Jackson MS. Can 't wait to go back again!"

"I returned to Hal Mal's after several years and was pleased to find that it still has its relaxed and friendly vibe. The highlight of our visit was definitely the live music; the Dixieland band was impressive, opting for more contemporary tunes instead of the usual Stephen Foster standards. The food was up to its usual standard—fresh and flavorful gumbo, though the po' boys were just average, relying a bit on their reputation. The drink choices were satisfactory, and overall it was a laid-back and fairly affordable night out. There’s great value here, and it's a reliable choice. We'll be sure to return the next time we're in town."

"very professional and welcoming staff, especially the young light skin lady that even memorized my name after my first purchase there ; when i order online and show up for pickup she will recognize me instantly and will hand over my order to me as she remembers my name. She is amazing. Exceptional customer service. The black guy is also outstanding."
