"I am SO happy I tried this place! I'm definitely not the first to say that there aren't any good Chinese options in Astoria. HOWEVER, Bund on Broadway has saved my Chinese flavor craving taste buds! Since moving to Astoria from eastern Queens I had basically given up on Chinese food because other than this place they're pretty terrible in Astoria. The dough is soft but crispy on the bottom (vs other places where it's dried out) and it was literally dripping with the meat sauce when I bit into it. The staff is very friendly and respectful. The food quality is a bit inconsistent - the Dan Dan noodles and crispy chicken were delicious, but the chicken fried rice seemed like it was made with pre-cooked rice and the dumplings were a bit lacking in flavor. Overall, the experience could have been better.

Nice local finding Astoria. It was a slow night, only a couple of the tables. The service is quick. Food came out hot one at a time allowed me time to have some before going on to the next item. To soup dumplings were tasty and held together. The beef stew noodles had the right amount of chew and taste. Only thing I think would have made it better would be stronger hot sauce or chili oil. What they had is flavorful but not very strong. With the trip back to try some of the other stuff.

The food at this restaurant is delicious. I especially enjoyed the pork soup dumplings. The salted chicken was also very tasty, the pork belly bao was tender, and the scallion pancakes had the perfect combination of crunchy texture and gooey inside. The only dish I wasn't a fan of was the seafood soup dumplings, but that might just be a personal preference. The restaurant is small, but we had no trouble finding a seat for lunch on a weekday. Just a note that the salted chicken mentioned was actually pork this time.
