My boyfriend's drink was never refilled (nor asked to get a refill), we grabbed silverware from another table as none was on our table, another dish was brought to our table. My meal to arrive was very late, while my boyfriend received his. The waitress came by and asked if everything was tasting alright (I didn't have my food yet), didn't say anything about my missing entree. We overheard other tables being unhappy about the service as well. We will not be returning"

J Bar is hit and miss. Depends on the day. The winter old fashioned is usually a great drink but today it was poor. Needs more consistency.

The food at this restaurant is excellent, but it lacks a romantic ambiance. We made the error of booking a table for Valentine's Day, which unfortunately fell on a Friday this year. The noise level in the high-ceilinged lobby with its hard floors was excessive due to the presence of numerous youth soccer players in town for a weekend tournament. While the J Bar is a convenient spot for parents to enjoy drinks while their kids interact in the lobby, it is not an ideal location for couples looking for a peaceful meal together.
