"Found this restaurant online and it had great reviews so we decided to try it. I was very disappointed in the experience. Our waitress was nowhere to be found much of the time, it was not busy at all, and they when she did come to the table it was clear she did not want to be there. I ordered eggs, bacon, hash browns, and the biscuits and gravy. My eggs, which should have been over medium, but were literally not cooked, as in slimy raw. The hash browns were not even lukewarm. My friends meal was also lukewarm at best. I asked the waitress if she could just pop them in a microwave for a minute or so and that would be fine. She was also going to take the eggs and replace them with scrambled eggs. She said it would just be a few minutes which I believed since it was not busy and every one already seemed to have their meals except for a group that had just arrived and hadn't even ordered yet. Fifteen minutes later she finally showed back up with the food she was going to reheat. No surprise, it was colder than before she took it, and the eggs were also cold.I will say the biscuit was incredibly good and the bacon was amazing!!!I wouldn't make a special trip up there again, but if I was in the area and was hungry I might stop by for a biscuit and some bacon."

"The most popular plate is the fajita plate. Chips and salsa provided while you wait. The food came hot and was partly generous. Shrimp Salat was moderate, loaded with sour cream, guak and iceberg salad. My friend had a wet beef Burrito that was fantastic. It wasn't crowded when we went on a Saturday afternoon. Star loss is on warm, flat design beer. Server was provisional. The view is the main reason why I believe that people are over; that attracted me."

"New Krestline towns that discovered this jewel of a family restaurant. One of my most popular restaurants in the Crestline area. Some Entrées I had and enjoyed were chicken fried steak, ribs, prime rib dinner, bear burger, asada fries, chicken, albindigas, and my favorite Clam Chowder. Clam Chowder is served only on weekends btw I try to experience different entrées every time I go and In always surprised about the home-cooked and with love taste made I experience with every bite. Customer service is amazing and feels just as if you are home. Pool table is available to play a game. Thanks for the great service always Bear House"

"I have no complaints about the food; it was great. The staff was friendly and welcoming. However, we did notice that their posted operating hours might not reflect the actual hours. We arrived about an hour before closing, but there was no one at the drive-thru. After waiting for 15 minutes with several other cars behind us, we decided to leave."

"Very nice experience, took my wife here for our 1 year anniversary on Nov. 10, 2023. Definitely make reservations, we went on a friday night and they were turning people away at one point. Amazing service. Server wasnt too clingy, was very charming, casual, but professional at the same time. Food came out at a nice pace. Slow enough to enjoy your food and the atmosphere, along with great drinks. I ordered the white peach mule. The grilled bread and truffle butter with mushroom soup starter was my wifes favorite. I was hesitant ordering a $36 halibut cut, but i would order it over and over again. Great appetizer aswell. Calamari wasnt chewy or greasy, and the noodles were a nice touch. We ordered the lavender creme brulee for desert and it did not at all disappoint. By far one of the top three restaurants in the San Bernandino Mountains. We will be back soon. The drive up was great aswell, we came from Big Bear at night. For an added adventure there is Strawberry Peak Lookout 5 mins away, breathtaking views."
