"First time dining here since their menu change and we were disappointed with the new choices. A lot of the staples that drew us and our friends here were gone. Ordered the tacos with smoked jerk burnt ends and they were hard,chewy and overly messy. Two dollar up charge for onion petals as a side. My wife's chicken sandwich was average and again an up charge for a side salad instead of fries. Stopped in for dinner, overall food wasn't terrible. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of white cheddar Mac n cheese. The mac and cheese lacked flavor and the pulled pork seemed a little greasy. The smoked chicken pot pie and Buffalo chicken dip were tasty though. They have a great beer selection. The ambiance is a little gloomy, this place is located in a strip mall off Pearl and has dim lighting but lots of wall decor. Overall, not a terrible meal or place but probably won't be back.

Seems like they have changed their style a bit. Restaurant looks the same but newish menu. Rectangular modern looking plates. I came for lunch to get a bowl of the gumbo which was a daily offering. Not today, I guess it shows up as a special, ordered grilled cheese which used to come with Cole slaw and fries, now only one of those. Fries used to be regular type fries now crisped with a flavoring. I usually order Big Woody draft which is always there, not now. I heard a guy ask for a light lager and he was steered to an Irish red as the closest option. Yeesh. I get it, times change maybe new owners etc, now there's golf, but there are benefits to what has worked. But no gumbo!!!

Visited Brew Kettle again for dinner since we were given a gift card. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated by a friendly hostess. Then a waitress arrived, gave us menus, and took our drink requests. I requested root beer. After I received the bottle, I noticed that it was home made. We didn't opt for an appetizer and we went straight for dinner. On this occasion, I requested the grilled cheese sandwich with fries, my son requested a hamburger, and my wife requested a chicken caprese sandwich. About 15 minutes later, our food was delivered.
