"The fried basa is absolutely fabulous. The cornbread batter is seasoned well and is nice and crunchy on the outside and soft and fresh on the inside. It's not greasy at all and I loved it. Even friends that don't like fish like this. The service is generally good. The hush puppies consistently look overcooked, but they're usually tasty. They have chicken strips for the kids if they don't like fish, but only in a pinch, because they taste like they are out of a bag. They have specials just about every day, and the basa is always on special.Make sure to call in orders larger that 4 or 5 meals. It will be faster and make your overall experience more enjoyable. They have the BEST fish in the city--bar none. You can have your fancy places on the plaza and all the rest. This joint has great food in a family atmosphere and very reasonable prices. What more could you want?

I love this place. The food is great and I mean great. I'm from Mississippi, the capital of fried fish and this place comes closest to anything you will find there. It is kind of a fast food type place so don't expect 5 star service. You should expect great fried fish.
