"I don’t know how anybody could leave anything more than 1 star for this place… do not waste your money here. First off, my experience started with their very unenthusiastic, rude, unprofessional host, Karen. I called to check for availability and was greeted with a grumpy, “Compass Grill”. I asked about availability for two and was told “Not right now, we’re packed and I only have one server” So I asked, “okay… when would you have availability..” and she said “I don’t know, maybe in an hour.” I then hung up and made a reservation online 30 mins after the call. Website isn’t updated, so you don’t get what you think you ordered if you’re getting carryout. Why have a website if you don’t update it?

Sucked ! Should have listened to the reviews. Went for a salad I seen on online menu, tried calling first to verify they had it but no answer. Got there and of course they didn’t offer the salad as shown online. I ordered a different salad that was just okay. $23 dollars and the only meat that came on it was 4 pieces of shrimp . Very disappointed.

"We are vacationing at St Pete Beach and we wanted to go for lunch. We searched and found Category 36, it had great reviews so we took a walk over. We were greeted by one of the owners and once we sat down he came right over to ask us where we were from andwhere we were staying. Super friendly!! "I was a little skeptical at first because the menu is a little intimidating but don?t worry because the front counter staff will help you decide with their recommendations. The atmosphere is like 80, 90?s hip hop vibe was awesome. the food is the ultimate reward. Bread is crisp, buttery and is built to be handled. Very hearty and flavorful, you?ll get lost in the world of flavors but you won?t regret it. Very happy food 10/10, staff 10/10, cleanliness and atmosphere 10/10. What are you waiting for? Go and have an experience worth having again!"

"First time at Sea Dog Brewery. We wanted to try it fur a long time. The restaurant is large and there's plenty of seating. We were seated right away. Nice friendly service. Hubby was happy with the abundance of TV screens showing football, TV was a bit too loud for my liking but we were still able to have a conversation. We ordered double IPA, peach and pear martinis, and a Mango Mai Tai. I'm picky on my drinks but I was impressed. Also, I didn't expect good food at a Brewery but boy was I wrong! Our raw oysters came out fresh and delicious, my tuna appetizer was amazing (we got two), our friends loved their seafood pasta and mussels. Highly recommend this place, I wish we came sooner!"

"As for the fries, they were disappointing and tasted as if they had been fried in old oil that hadn’t been changed in ages. Think of Five Guys fries, but burnt and off-tasting. The bartender wasn’t busy but seemed in no rush to refill my beer. They were too caught up discussing rum with the manager to notice that my glass was empty. With so many other fantastic options in the area, I probably won’t return here. My bill for the sandwich, two beers, and a 20% tip was $50."

"Great spot, terrific wait staff- food meh. Drinks good, when I walked in I immediately smelled mold, looked around and could see the pucker in the ceiling. not in the back room, just the bar and center room. Very expensive. It was NYE- Eve! I hope they step up their game, could be exceptional."
