"For so many great reviews, we came out of here disappointed. It's the kind of place that has something for everyone on the menu, but none of it is great, just ok. Crosby's is such an Incline Village mainstay. Extensive food menu and the cocktails are always various and each one delicious. Such welcome team and Russell, the owner, is such a welcoming face greeting each time we're there. The outdoor garden during the warmer months is so well done and the retro indoor dining space is welcoming year-round. Just love it here!

We went out to breakfast at Crosbys on Saturday morning. We waited for a table to be cleared to sit down and then waited about 15 minutes to place an order. My wife ordered a large orange juice. I said I would also like some OJ. The food was okay but greasy. The bill came and we were charged $4.50 four times for the two orange juices. They said they put the OJ in a large glass (12oz) so they charge double for it. We paid $18.00 for two glasses of OJ that was out of a carton and not even fresh squeezed. What a joke....never in there again. The servers response, sorry, that 's the way we do it.

We'd not been to Crosby's in years, but friends convinced us that it was really good now. Walking in, the facility did appear to have had an upgrade with an updated look all around. The music in the restaurant is in competition with the music in the kitchen, so it was a little loud while trying to have a conversation. The outdoor area is cute and well appointed. The staff was polite and attentive from the moment we walked in. We were seated and given time to peruse the menu. "Intimate ambience, excellent food and service. This turned out to be our best meal of the trip. The place appeared to have a lot of regulars. When we were dining, we noticed the manager greeted many of the customers by name and talked as if they knew each other for years. In fact later in the evening, he even poured himself a glass of wine and sat at one of the tables to chat. Love those kind of places. The decor is simple elegance and the food teeters between rustic and fine dining French. We arrived promptly for our 7pm reservations and was seated right away. As luck would have it, we got a great table ...a cozy corner booth that afforded a view of the entire room. The menu gave us the option of doing a 5 course prefix meal $70) and/or ala carte. We chose to do 1 prefix and 1 ala carte. Overall, the entire meal was excellent. The special appetizer of the day, Lobster Mushroom Scallop Ravioli and the Veal Chop with a veal stock cream sauce really stood out. The ravioli took a little long to arrive but we weren't in a hurry. Excellent service. Efficient and unobtrusive. The captain waiter and back waiter worked well as a team while the manager helped to pick up any slack. Small operation but well executed. We will definitely return on our next trip. Happy Eating!!"

"I had a great experience at this restaurant before COVID hit. The drinks were fantastic, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively and loud. However, the vegetarian options were good but not exceptional. My server was very friendly and informed me that they always have one vegan option and several vegetarian options that change seasonally, but unfortunately, the menu has remained the same for over a year now. The walnut meat dish I tried was interesting but didn't quite wow me. I hope to return for drinks when it's safe to do so or possibly try their take-out if they update their menu."

"The search for Halal food options in Tahoe is quite difficult, so we stopped here as they had many veggie options. We were so excited to find her Tritip from Creekstone Farms, who only produce Halalbeef! We immediately bought both sandwiches that were fantastic. The regular Tri-Tip was hearty and also filled very fresh tasting, and the BBQ Tri-Tip was extremely tasteful with a light kick I really loved. For anyone in the North Tahoe area who eats only halal meat, this is an absolute must."
