"Another day abroad another business dinner! We wandered around Northeim in the relatively balmy autumn conditions and built a healthy appetite before we reached this hotel restaurant. It is hidden labyrinth style on the back of the hotel and is decorated in a rustic rural cum hunting lodge style. No Feng Shui here in operation or layout and nothing worse for it. Well settled covers the night in which we were and a healthy relationship of locals [against our homologation of German, English and America, which is always a healthy sign. Take our guided tour from the surrounding area all lean on hearty and fleshy selection. They included carpaccio of beef, a common local sausage plate, substantial soups as appetizers followed by carvings, local sausages and green cabbage and the usual suspects in a raft of steaks for net. All, mostly, washed with the admirable performance of the local Einbecker brewhouse. In my opinion, I shared the sausage plate and was perhaps impressed by the spread of taste, species and presentation of all varieties. I followed that with a simply grilled rib eye steak, jacket potato green beans and cream cheese filling. I never miss being astonished as [almost regardless of where you are good, the quality of German meat is served. It looks strange to say this, but if your home region is often disappointed [at the level where there is usually an internal struggle with itself to not order a steak in Britain, as often the reality never coincides with the expectation! My steak was cooked for perfection and was tender and succulent “Please Sir can I have a little more” Our waitress was a secretly older German lady, but was efficiency itself and she copied admirable with variability in language, accent and elections. In summary, I would say that the venue has exceeded expectations of both quality and choice and reasonable prices and I would like to return. Vegetarians, however, cannot share the same experience! As my compatriot Pukka would say."
