It's family owned, and the memorabilia that decorates its surrounding walls or transport you to many different events in time. This place has a small seating area and it also offers a restroom. They sell homemade cookies! They offer catering services from what I gathered. Definitely will be coming back on the weekend in the morning for some sweet, tamales coffee. Just remember they close on Sundays."

I love this place, around Christmas time I always find myself craving tamales and Emma's has so many vegetarian/vegan options. I highly recommend the Jalapeño Cheese tamale.Vegetarian options: whole vegan menu

The best, absolutely the best. Their chicken enchiladas are out of this world and no matter how hard I try I will never be able to replicate theirs. Tamales are also delicious and just like grandma would make. Perfect ratio of meat to masa. Hibiscus tea is a must to have with your meal as is their salsa. Prices are reasonable, $6.00 for the enchiladas and you get two. This is one of those places you have to eat at at least once point in your lifetime. I true treasure to the Sacramento area, a hidden gem.
