The bread was dry and the catfish and fried green tomatoes lacked seasoning. The mashed yams had too much vanilla flavoring or extract and lacked anything special that would make me want to order it a second time. The biscuits and sauce for the catfish fingers were good. The biscuits were soft and bacon jam was the right combination of sweet and savory. The tartar sauce for the catfish had a nice tangy and spice taste. Overall, I was expecting much more and better from this restaurant. Fried catfish should be hot, crispy all around, and well seasoned. It should never soggy, bland and, luke warm. This restaurant was not worth the money charged. I had not frequented this restaurant in over two years. A lot has changed and not in a good way. I took family to this restaurant for what I thought would be a unique and pleasant experience. It was not. The waitress acted as if she had a chip on her shoulder the whole time. The food was horrible. Rice in the gumbo was not real rice. It was on the lines of Uncle Ben's or something like Minutemaid. Salmon was dry and overcooked. Chicken was dry and flavorless.
