"I don't know if this is normal for this place but they were out of almost everything. The shrimp scampi was rubbery and very soupy. Excellent service. Accommodated us on our bikes. Loved the chicken/capers dish with Angel hair pasta. Fabulous!

Small mom and pop restaurant. Pricing was fair and the food was seasoned well. I enjoyed the corvina fish. This was executed perfectly

Terrible food. Old fish and shrimp, inedible chicken picata, old dry hamburgers with freezer burnt fries. Worst meal we have ever had. When we arrived they were somewhat busy. When we went back to our table we walked past numerous empty tables with lots of food still on the plates. Those dirty tables stayed the entire time we were there. No one cleared tables for over an hour. Owners/managers fighting with waitstaff. There's an older woman by the kitchen who seems to create a lot of issues and frustration among the staff. Please do not eat here. We are hoping we don't get sick after the terrible food we tried to eat.

"the restaurant is beautiful. the service is very good. the food was missing, however. we had (3) fried green tomaten with crabs. there were precious little crab on third tomato, only dry microgreen. tobasco smear was pretty, but ineffective when going with tomaten. too runny to fork; too minimal to spoon. without them there was not much taste for the court. my middle steak was deep red and cool. it was sent back and was good to return. seemingly, the field bellies got a double dosis of garni; there was no tasting of the peasant at all, only the crust. and a flat bowl instead of cup would make it easier to sneak out the peasant. my man cost his broccolini. the dessert should be a brotpudding with a pumpkin, was more like just the topping on a fruit spice. very subtle taste: simply sweet. everyone was so nice, but it wasn't eating. I wonder if you guys weren't in the house?"

"This was our fifth week in a row going to Playa for their steak night. Usually everything is fantastic, but not this week. Ordered my steak medium rare it was more like medium well. The server was also the bartender for the whole restaurant, so I don't really blame her for not being very attentive to our needs. Took a long time to get our check, just overall not a great experience, but we'll be back."

"The food was excellent. However, the wait for a table and food was quite long, and two items in our order were missing. They must be short staffed given there were plenty of tables, which led us to believe the wait wouldn't be so long. I do see why the place is so popular. I had the fried shrimp platter and was very satisfied. Wife had the chicken carbonara which was also tasty. Kid 1 was not a fan of the marinara noodles but kid 2 didn't mind and they swapped plates with chicken tenders. The place has a great feel with a wood timber great hall dining room with a live fish pond in the middle. The outdoor seating looked really fun too. I bet with love music it's even cooler. They do have a really cool pirate ship playground that kept our kids entertained. We would have had to bail on this without it. I bet my next visit, and especially one without children, will be 5 stars."

"Had brunch here last weekend. Fortunately, my niece got the Bananas in Pajamas so I could get a taste. It was very yummy, but very rich. This might be something you want to try with three or four people sharing. My nieces husband had the American breakfast and my husband had an omelette. I actually had the shrimp Tasso Mac and cheese. It was awesome! And don’t forget the build your own **** Mary option!! The restaurant holds a lot of people, inside and out. We got there at 9 a.m. on a Saturday and didn’t have a wait. But when we left there was a decent size line. Our server was very good and didn’t try to push us out even though we sat for a while catching up with family. This place is a must do for brunch!"

"I want to preface this review by saying, in this day and age, I give people in any service industry a lot of grace. We 're all human, and these are trying times. But BuzzCatz was beyond bad...zero stars if I could. As,others have said, I had high expectations based on reviews. Went in and looked at the pre-made items, you can see what the chicken salad wraps actually look like. Tasty, but half the size of a normal wrap. I guess that 's what you get for $6 in a beach town. But I digress. When I went to the register to order, a young woman was fidgeting w her phone or jewelry, and another worker had to nudge her to notice a customer was even there. I ordered a 16oz iced latte, and she actually had to ask me to repeat the order as she forgot it in like 10 seconds? Then she asked me a couple of times about the wrap--it was right there on the counter!! Paid for my drink and wrap, and went to the restroom. Came back and no drink on the counter? Asked if my drink was up, and another worker said, uh, no, I haven 't made that. She 'd been busy talking w her boyfriend? She finally made my drink. Wayyyy too much milk, and not enough ice. Had a few sips and threw the rest away. When the cat 's away...."
