"I have to give Grumpy Jake 's a great review. My dad tried to plan his own birthday party, but couldn't decide. Last minute I met an executive decision called Grumpy Jake. I called Friday night at 6:45 and asked how possible to order food for about 10 people for the following day. I picked up at 3:30. Louis, was very accommodating. I could even pick up 30 minutes earlier. The food was very good. Our party guests always asked where this barbecue comes from, is it good? We ordered ribs, pulled pig, brisket, beans, Koleslaw and homemade buns that were also delicious. So thank Grumpy Jake for a successful birthday party."

I liked and respected how they wanted you to wear a mask up until you were actually eating/drinking. I felt safe and socially distanced. It was good to return to the home of the Monster Tater. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing food and wonderful service! My husband got the sample platter and I got the brisket platter. The brisket was a little salty for my husband. I typically put salt and pepper on my food, so it was perfect for me. They bring you a hot BBQ sauce and the sides we delicious as well. I would also recommend taking some delicious pie to go, if you're too stuffed. The peanut butter chocolate chip was to die for!! Go local! It's worth it!

Do you want smoked ribs? This is the place. 1/2 rack is a ton of pork. Amazing service ask for Crystal she is the bomb, great recommendations, great service, friendly definitely good at what she does. Coleslaw was fantastic and the real mashed potatoes are to die for. Oh wait if you like apple sauce this homemade Applesauce with cinnamon is the best I’ve ever had. The Chile wasn’t bad either and the corn bread muffins were simply awesome.

"This is the first place in the White Mountains that lived until the Hype. We had to get out (child:eyeroll:: but the staff was friendly and helpful. They have a small but good choice of alcohol. The decor was simple and funny. The food was fast and delicious! We had two burgers that were juicy and tasteful, but a little over boiled. We asked for Medium Rare. "ABSOLUTELY delicious! My favorite Mexican restaurant in the white mountains. Very authentic, huge portions for the price and a beautiful atmosphere. Everything is quite expensive and they also have daily specialties. Good service, but worth the ride from Taylor/Snowflake to pinetop/lakeside. Very recommended! "This restaurant receives a mixed review from me. After living in the area for six years, my husband and I finally decided to try the chalet. The ambiance was pleasant, although we chose to eat in the bar, which was well-organized. My husband opted for the early bird menu and ordered salmon. While the ingredients were fresh, the dish was quite bland, and the portion of salmon was very small. I decided to go with the menu from Sharkys Sushi Bar, choosing Sashimi along with a California Roll and a Boston Roll. It was absolutely fantastic! The portions were generous, and everything was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. The service was excellent, though my husband received his meal well before I did, despite my order being something that shouldn’t take long to prepare. I will definitely return for the delicious and fresh sushi, but I’m unlikely to try the restaurant dishes again, especially considering the prices, which are among the highest on the mountain."
