"We had family visiting us and not enough time to cook. We had not been to this location before we arrived probably around 6:30 PM. It was not busy. There were maybe five tables with people at them one or zero people at the bar. Bottom line, the food was OK. Our server was very sweet. The bartender was horrible had no idea how to make a martini to call her. A bartender is an insult to bartenders. Why she would’ve been hired as a sign that they couldn’t get anyone else breathing. Excellent Lunch Atmosphere was great. We ordered the Fried Cheese Mozzarella sticks yummy with a wonderful dipping sauce. Meals were Fish Chips Good, and a Reuben Sandwich with Fries. The Reuben was spot on. Highly recommended. Great Server (Lois). Hospitality was great. Nice new interior after some recent remodeling.

Stopped in tonight for dinner. Very slow compared to what I thought I’d find. Service was pretty good and the food was exceptional. Especially considering what they had before the renovations. If you want the best bar food come to this location. The menu is way better than the competition and other hickory tavern locations! The one thing I would offer to improve would be for the managers to be present and interact with the customers. I did not see a single manager during my entire visit. Staff was friendly and the chef was nice enough to deliver my chicken dish and talk about the new menu improvements. I’ll be back soon to try more new dishes.

While I had not visited the restaurant prior to the renovations, my first experience the other day was quite pleasant. Management and our male server were very friendly and personable! It's so tough these days to find good customer service in the food and service industry but here, the service was exceptional! The seating was very unique. Loved that there was a big high top surfboard shaped table for what looks like a larger party. The food was delicious! I highly recommend the seared tuna, the Reuben (fresh, thin sliced piece of meat aplenty! and the NY style cheesecake. For those who are interested, there are a ton of beer options on tap. "we were looking forward to link pin, but we were a bit disappointed. the dining areas are welcoming and clean. we sat in an escort with a high deck where most of the tables were occupied. it was unusually loud to take away from the experience. our server wasn't really rude, but he wasn't friendly either. I expect the server to be at least friendly. our table for two was too wavy during our meal, when a stack of folded paper worked, it is out under one of the legs. that was really irritating as I had to keep my feet on the platform for the rest of the meal to keep the table before josing our drinks and teller. that should not be done in a nicer restaurant. we ordered truffles as an appetizer. they were warm and limp. crispy heissfries are not difficult to prepare or serve. we also did not like the taste of the sauce or aroma on the fryed. there was a beanie oil in the bottom of the frying pan. the two entrees we ordered were an salate with chicken meat and the general Tso’s cauliflower. the part of the chicken at the salat was very small. the salate had a good part of the fresh salad. the high point of the meal was the general tso cauliflower and I have to say it was amazing! beautiful aromen on beautiful fried cauliflower on a bed rice. we do not plan to go back to link pin, but I would order that cauliflower dish for take off!"

"This is my second time at this establishment. The first time our party of four had to wait around 30 minutes in order to get a table, but this day, we were ushered right in (we arrived around 9:45 am on a Saturday). We asked to be seated in Collin's section as he was great with us the last time we were there. Collin is a great addition to your team. This was my husband's first time here. He ordered the shrimp and grits. They were able to make it without adding sausage. He said was good, not great. I ordered the #1 most ordered item on the menu which is chicken and waffles. I omitted the strawberry butter and the spicy syrup. I also just ate dark meat, legs and thighs. It was all great, just like last time. I always walk out full which justifies the cost of many meals. I also ordered a OJ mimosa which was good as well. You will not be disappointed with whatever you decide to order here. Also, ask for Collin if he is working."

"Ordered a Family Pack for Curbside. While waiting in the parking lot, “Bake” came out to let me know that my order was going to be ready in 5 minutes. He then proceeded to offer me a drink while I waited. Not going to lie, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve received this level of customer service. Someone give this Man a raise."

"I enjoyed, just have a few recommendations to make it great. Beer served in warm glasses makes for warm beer, the bartender sticking her finger under the tap saying it feels cold does not help that. If steak is on the menu reach them about how steaks can be cooked. Ordered medium charred, reply was, yeah they cook it on the charcoal stuff I think. Lastly when someone orders a salad with a steak it is normal for the salad to come first then the entree plate, I hate when I have to choose between enjoying my salad or letting my steak and sides get cold. The food and service was very good, just some recommendations."
