We really enjoyed the cream cheese and the egg rolls, and my friend loved the pig and broccoli escape with white rice. I got the chicken meat with roasted rice and found it to be a bit bland. The restaurant is still rated five stars as it is a personal taste and does not relate to the quality of food or service:

In the three years I ordered from them, I never had a problem with food or service. They are very generous with the portions of food. Lunch is enough that I can share it with someone! I can't remember ever having a problem with the food itself. It meets the place every time. I'm so glad they're still open and close.

We thought the food at Hunan Express was pretty good overall. Usually my yardstick for a Chinese restaurant is their hot and sour soup, but here it was quite average. Not bad, but nothing special. Spring rolls were good, probably a little better than most. But the Morengo Delight was fantastic; it is one of my favorite dishes, and their version was really good.
