"Lotus is one of my top 3 San Rafael restaurants and everyone's favorite. One of the best restaurants in Marin County. Please note the free PARKING LOT (at 805 5th Ave) at the rear entrance through the Indian grocery store. We have dined here to the lunch buffet (all you can eat) and the selection was excellent. Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Gobi, 3 types of Pakoras, 2 types of curry dishes, Tandoori Chicken and even fresh Papadum offered. Many dishes were gluten-free. The lunch buffet ends at 2 o'clock. Food is excellent and clean. Service is attentive and ambience is great. It is a new location with many seats in a more cozy and modern atmosphere than other Indian restaurants. I would recommend it very much.

My first experience with this kind of food ? Very interesting and good. Especially when going with friends of which have been there before , this restaurant have something for everyone even me with a delicate stomach. It was a great introduction to cuisine from India

The new location is beautiful and welcoming in the heart of downtown. The parking lot in the back makes it super easy to get in and out. PLUS you get to avoid parking on fourth street! Service is quick, attentive, and friendly as always. Jyoti and Alisha make sure you feel at home from the moment you walk through the door. Food and chai are super tasty and the best of all the restaurants I've tried in Marin County. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!
