"Sadly, after years of eating at this establishment, I feel the need to give it a 0. We've tried going back 3x to re-experience one of our favorite go-tos...but it's just sooo Bad! Waitresses have tried, but the management now is absolutely terrible! Cooks do not follow the orders put in, which leaves the wait staff in a pinch. NOT 1 thing came out as ordered....simple side garden salad was brought out as a weird spicy pepperoncino greek goat cheese concoction...not horrible, but not what I ordered. Love the food and the staff. Great beer selection and so many TV's to watch your favorite sports team. Try the Reuben and sweet potato tots, you won't be disappointed!

Hadn't been in a while (2-3yrs) wanted to check it out. Can't go too wrong with a hamburger, pass on the meatloaf... unless you like meatloaf that doesn't taste like meatloaf.

Love this place. We've been there several times and the food is always good and the service is also great. It's nice to see the same servers in a place for several years. Great job retaining your great staff.

"elaborate, and a bit travel to get there, but it's worth it. there are many restaurants in the open, but we have chosen to be through a window to get the view. we share an appetizer of steak tarts. as always, the cook has taken its own, and it differs in each restaurant, and that was excellent. we had a fish dish each. my wife had a salmon with a mixed fruit sauce that was the best she ever had. I had yellowfin tuna with oriental sides of the cucumber chimney, meerkrautsalat and the seared thunfisch was on a bed of a kind of lobster pine over reis. it was also the best from the class I can remember everywhere. dessert was the French silk cake with a strawberry rhob sorbet, which was the perfect end. while it is at least an hour drive for us, we will be back."

"After reading the reviews, we decided to check it out for ourselves. The bad reviews were so minimal that I thought, they have to be good .We walked in and immediately seated at whichever table we wanted. BTW this was today, Sunday, 7/9. When we were seated, our waiter came over, Wes, and immediately asked if we wanted a drink. I ordered a smoked old fashion. We ordered a bottle of red wine for dinner and had bottled water. Wes came within minutes with my drink and wine for the table.Soon the appetizer of buarrata cheese salad came and it was delish! In the meantime, a basket of homemade focaccia bread was presented along with a small carafe of seasoned oil to dip in.Our entrees were served, I had Veal Picotta and my husband had the special, spaghetti bolognese with sausage.I noticed the pizza oven and mentioned to my husband he needed to go see. He did and then the owner came over and struck up a conversation with my husband. They talked about pizzas and having a home oven. We were eating our dinner when all of a sudden a cheese pizza shows up courtesy of Rob, the owner. We let it cool down, still hot from the fire roasted oven. So at that time we decided to save half of our dinner so we made room for the pizza. Glad we did, that was incredible.Dinner was done and dessert time. Apparently they offer a complementary zepolies for dessert. We got that and I got an espresso.All I can say is that from the beginning of walking into the restaurant, we had nothing but a great experience. Rob was very cordial and interested in our input.Great time and food. We will definitely go back whenever we are in town. This is definitely THE ITALIAN RESTAURANT OF SARASOTA."

"The waitress is racist. I'm black, I came in with my husband, who is not black. I was the only person of color in the whole place. No hello or welcome in when we walked in. Just escorted to a booth. The whole time, the waitress did not acknowledge me at all. Every time she came over to ask how the food was or if we wanted more coffee, she looked at him only and did not address me at all. Now the food was disappointing. I ordered a garden omelet, which comes with mushrooms, spinach, cheese, and so on. Omelet means you cook all ingredients together. Well, what they do here is cook the veggies separate from the eggs and then just toss them in the middle of the eggs and serve it that way, eggs separated from veggies. It turned out to be a soppy mess because all the water from the vegetables was dripping out from inside the folded egg. Traditionally, it is not an omelet, just eggs with soppy vegetables. Anyway, it goes without saying that I will never be returning to this place, and I do not recommend it."
