"Been to Marty’s many times and recommend to many people. This past visit was a total disappointment. We met with a group of 8 for dinner on a Friday. We started to oder and was told there was nothing available with crab. No appetizer, no entrée. OK. How about some garlic knots. None! This is a pizza place, garlic knots are made with dough!! Next, we went the pizza route. After our oder was placed (15 minutes later), we were told it would be an hour wait! We finally got our fried pizza, and it tasted like the oil was a month old and rancid. It's a bitter disappointment for a generally good dinner choice."

Excellent food! Donna is very friendly and helpful! She made me a delish Jalapeno margarita! Ordered their homemade pierogies as well!

Literally waited over an hour for food, I was the only customer in the building, could've went to Sicily and got my pizza quicker than the time I wasted

Visited with family that go there often. This may have been a bad day for them. A group of 10 and they all were finished with their pizzas before our came to the table. When they did arrive, I only had 1 slice...no flavor. Will not recommend or go back. Family members with us were really disappointed. They won't be back either. Lots of pizza parlors to choose from in Nanticoke.

"I’m a truck driver and have been to places all over the continental 48 states. Can’t speak much to the pizza, as I usually get Stromboli. You can’t beat them. I’d definitely recommend but DO NOT be in a hurry, this man is in his 70s and run the whole show by himself. Forgive him if he says 30 min and it turns into 45 min. The subs are also terrific. Again, don’t be in a rush. We live in a world where being patient isn’t common, but calm down, sit down and enjoy a beer if you’re there a little early and enjoy the conversation with Joe."

"*Updating my review* I used to love coming here but I went here last night and was extremely disappointed. I asked for my wings extra crispy (as did the rest of my party) and when they came out they were awful. I hate saying anything so I tried my best to eat them but they were gross so I picked at them and then just stopped. I was so upset over this I decided to let our waitress know, even though its the kitchen's fault and not hers. She told them but no one really seemed to care. What used to be one of my favorite places is now somewhere I will never be going to again."

"The Salt and Pepper Pub on North Market Street in Nanticoke is an establishment that serves very good bar food, from sandwiches to burgers to wings...and a lot more. We arrived for our 6:30 p.m. reservation and sat out on the patio. There was only one other table occupied the entire visit. This really wasn't a good idea, however, since the outdoor dining area is next to a busy street, and the sound of the traffic at times drowned out the conversation. We probably could've sat indoors, since the restaurant was practically empty, but the weather was too pleasant to pass up. For an appetizer, I ordered a plate of 5 deep-fried braised beef short rib pierogi's. I would recommend the steamed version, as the dough was very hard. However, that was my mistake, and not the restaurant's. Should I visit again, I'll definitely choose the latter. Nevertheless,the beef was tender and delicious, and completely filled the pierogi. We also ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich, which was extremely tasty. The chicken was tender, the marinara sauce mild, and plenty of cheese with every bite. Along with our sandwiches, we ordered the white cheddar mac and cheese. I recommend eating half of your meal before digging in because the savory cheese sauce needs time to thicken for a more satisfying experience. The elbow macaroni was served al dente adding to an already perfect side. Also ordered were the truffle fries, which was delightful. The fries were crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside, and packed a lot of flavor. We had a fudge brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Overall, the dessert was average but it hit the spot after our entrees. The brownie was served warm, and the slightly melted ice cream added to a refreshing dish. All told, the Salt and Pepper Pub deserves a visit, but I wouldn't travel far to dine there. The food was very enjoyable, and would make an excellent casual night out...if you're in the area."
