"We were a group of five celebrating our son's graduation from the University of Michigan. We were able to call and get a reservation at 6:30 and they also accommodated my father-in-law's wheelchair access. We all order different dishes and we were 120% satisfied. My father-in-law that has traveled the world said that this was probably one of the best steaks he's ever had. I had the smoked salmon and a lemon sauce with capers and asparagus... Oh my gosh, absolutely delicious! My husband had the smoked pork chops and he could only eat one because of their size and he loved the side dishes cucumber salad and schnitzel) so much he had eaten everything. The food and service were excellent as usual. Sourbraten is a favorite. Spatzle and red Cabbage complete the meal. Black Forest cake is the perfect end. Parking: Free parking out front.

Oh my GAWD, FABULOUS! Laura was our kind, gracious server. We had the prime rib (big as a roast), mashed potatoes with gravy, beet salad, cucumber salad, beef tournadoes-they melt in your mouth. Everything was delicious!

HOLY VINEGAR! My husband and I stopped in around noon yesterday on our way out of town. We were provided dinner menus, and shortly there after our order was taken by our server. We chuckled to ourselves at how high the prices were, but looked forward to our German feast. As the platter arrived, we eagerly loaded up our plates with the various dishes. After our first bite, we knew we were in for trouble. The potato salad was sopping wet, and had caused vinegar to pool in the middle of our dish, saturating the other dishes piled high on our massive platter. "We were so excited to dine here as we’ve been ordering food from Zingerman’s for years. The Roadhouse did not disappoint. Everyone was super friendly. Our wait person, Dawn, was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Our meal was great. I had the American breakfast and my husband had the waffle with grits and bits. I liked his better than mine but my biscuit was amazing. The staff also brought us samples of the Mac and cheese and it was delicious. We had a great time and hope we get to come back soon."

"my omelette and kartoffel came cold, like the other two with me. Once we placed the order, it was delivered within 2 minutes. that is a true statement. the waitress said they had made the dinge in advance to assure that they did not withdraw. this will be the last time I go to the breakfast / brunch here. it is more expensive and I think they should expect more from zingerman. very disappointed."

"the only reason why there is no 5-star course is because I feel that customer upgrade has been lost in this hotel. they used to offer half-priced rooms for Sunday, continental breakfast, appetizers for happy hour, all gone. my man went there for over 30 years during the Michigan race and he saw many changes. it was a family weekend for us until it became too expensive, then instead of 2 rooms he had to go on and made it a young one. in the course of the years he saw the customer upgrade die and take over the almighty. if he had a problem, the job he got was not as if it were going elsewhere. as a delight for a hotel it is to do an elite hotel for the fountain. we went back to Kovid and found it very expensive. it's lovely, but they don't offer their gasses any more. beautiful rooms and very clean, but I can get this in the best western for significantly less. the rooms are not cleaned during their stay, I understand because I kovid, but in reality that saves them money because the cleaning staff has not so much to do. I know everything is going to be expensive, but when you see that the almighty takeover and customer upgrade are lost, it's sad. it will be a long time when we go back because it will only become too rich for my blood. it was always a bit expensive, but it was not justified with those of them."
