"Going to post a review because the food is fire! More people definitely need to attend. It is my favorite boudin in all of DFW. They are also fresh and made to order. I also ordered the gumbo and crawfish etoufee. Gumbo was full of shrimp and sausage and flavor was great. The crawfish etoufee was creamy, delicious and also filled with crawfish. This is my 3rd time visiting and the food has been amazing every time. It is definitely a hole-in-the wall shop, so be sure to spread the word. This spot deserves recognition."

Everything was so good especially the gumbo! I’m from Louisiana and never thought I would find good gumbo in TX until now. I’ll be back??

Please let me explain why the 3 the food we ordered was good but we forgot about we can not have to much hot spicy we will try again but we will ask if we can get our food with less spicy

Came here for the first time and last time . Got the gumbo , sweet potatoe pie , gumbo was cold and rice was clearly boil in bag rice , pie was frozen in the middle warmed on outside no crust at all and soggy just horrible ! Will not be back??

"We came to Dallas for a game at the stadium. We love to travel and both are foodie. Alex did a phenomenal job taking care of us. Staff was super nice and attentive. The Lobster Thermidor was the very best we ever had. Everything was A+ from beginning to end. What an amazing and memorable dinner! "Abraham, ich habe dich nicht weniger gewertet, aber ich wollte dich auf eine unangenehme Situation aufmerksam machen, die ich zum ersten Mal beim Essen im Salum hatte. Ich war der erste Gast im Restaurant und ein sehr freundlicher Kellner erkannte mich und fragte, wo ich sitzen wollte. Ich hatte keine Präferenz, also schlug er den mittleren Tisch vor, der der Küche am nächsten liegt. Ich bemerkte, dass es früher mein Lieblingstisch war, als die Küche „offen für die Gäste“ war. Ich hatte bereits Platz genommen, als ein anderer Server von der Haustür aus schrie: "Er kann nicht dort sitzen! Es ist reserviert! " Es gab nichts, was diese Tabelle als reserviert kennzeichnete, und der erste Server schien etwas verlegen zu sein. Der zweite Server rief: "Er hat gerade angerufen und es reserviert!" Ich tat so, als wäre es keine große Sache, wählte einen anderen Tisch, aber nachdem ich gegessen, bezahlt und hinausgegangen war, war dieser Tisch noch leer. Ich dachte nur, dass dies unter dem Qualitätsservice liegt, den ich immer bei Salum erhalten habe. Danke fürs Zuhören. Billy"

Even the staff that only delivered our food/ drinks were personable and incredibly accommodating. Food is one thing but service is what keeps you coming back."
