"The Grock is a restaurant you don't just find yourself at, it is too well hidden for that. Located on the first floor at Neuengasspassage 3, it is not only friendly and bright but also features a spacious terrace outback, nicely fitted out with plants and shady or sunny corners to relax in and have coffee or a meal. The place serves solid (Swiss) vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, but also does pizzas which I've never tried but which always smell and look very tempting. We (my son and I) have had dinner with you 4 times now. I chose a different dish each time. Every time carefully prepared, generous portions, very tasty in a pleasant atmosphere and with friendly service. The bill was also reasonable. We'd love to come back!

I love the pizza here, so I keep going back, but be warned: the service is almost always extremely slow. It's almost never crowded, but I think that's because it's somewhat hidden, as it's not on street level, and most people ignore the clown sign which indicates the door. Why is there a clown sign? Because it's all clown themed! Perhaps this, plus the slow service might explain the empty seats. Last point: They've got a huge roof terrace it has no view, but it's great for enjoying the sun. So, if you're not in a rush or too hungry, and aren't afraid of clowns, I suggest giving Grock a try!
