"I guess they were not prepared for the number of patrons on Dec 27th. It seemed as if no one really had a defined role, and it was chaos. We both ate the breakfast special eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy and we were there for over an hour. The manager needs to step up and manage. The waitress was not very friendly. Run from this place. Food was cold and nasty and service was just as bad. We didn't finish our food or even worry about complaining because it probably wouldn't of done any good. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE.

"A true hidden gem in South West Louisiana! This spot serves the BEST beignets I've ever tasted. I've tried many, including those from Café Du Monde, and the beignets from Stellar Beans surpass them by a long shot! I also enjoyed The Titan Sandwich for brunch, and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! My wife opted for the Jalapeño Chicken Salad Sandwich, and she found it fabulous! If you find yourself in Lake Charles, LA, make sure to treat yourself to this wonderful place!"

"I went to MacFarlane 's Celtic Pub in Lake Charles for lunch with some co-workers. This was my first visit, and a co-worker recommended the Fish Chips. I ordered this for $19.99. The menu describes the Fish Chips as follows: Two slabs of wild caught pacific cod dipped in founders ' beer batter and fried until crisp. Set atop a bed of fresh fried seasoned chips. Served with grilled lemon, homemade remoulade and your choice of a side . After about a 15-minute wait, the food arrives. The plate had 2 small pieces of fish on top of a bed of chips. They definitely weren 't two slabs as described on the menu. If i would have been dining alone, I would have sent it back and ordered something else with bigger portion sizes. However, the fish was hot and fried to a golden brown and tasted very good. If you are hungry, do not order the Fish Chips. They are not worth $19.99."

"Decent meal, average service and below average decor/comfort. Food was pretty good. We sat outside which was more of a concert courtyard with uncomfortable metal chairs. Inside was very bar centered and felt more like your in a pub than a restaurant with a bar. For all the hype they get I was unimpressed."

"We had been eager to try this restaurant, and my only regret is that we waited so long to do so! Everything was outstanding—the food, service, atmosphere, and the prices were quite reasonable. Our server, Stephanie, was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions with ease; she also made fantastic recommendations. If you're looking for a lovely spot to enjoy a meal and you appreciate Mediterranean cuisine, I highly recommend giving Mazen's a try—you won’t be disappointed! Oh, and be sure to make reservations; the dining room filled up quickly, even on a Wednesday evening!"
